Whenever my baby gets a little scratch or cut, she always bleeds a ton. Do babies not have enough of the stuff in their blood to clot the wound?

What do you do when this happens? You are supposed to put some antiseptic on it and then with clean gauze, put pressure on it until it quits oozing. Or you can do those two things in opposite order. You might mention this to your pediatrician next time your daughter visits him. He may want to run a test.

I would direct this question to your baby's doctor. My son used to scratch himself a lot too, but he never bled for very long, or enough to get it on his clothes or sheets, etc. It could be that your baby could have a clotting disorder.
