Well my Mother wasn't allowed to date until she was 18 so she went the opposite with me. By fourteen I had a steady BF and every year until I married at 17 1/2 and no I was not Pregnant. Divorced at 23 remarried at 27 and have now been married 40 years.
Group dates at 14 and 15 and a BF at 16. That's my opinion.

I don't date, sorry. At any one time i was out with a female, we were either an item or we were just friends. And my first serious relationship started at the age of twenty.
What do you mean by we? To whom do you refer to? You see, not everyone can handle relationship quite so well, so its not for anyone else to say when anyone should. Besides, it is said that women tend to look for serious relationships when they are more mature and are in their mid twenty's. While guys on the other hand would actually hold out as long as the age of thirty's.
I still don't go by this for the fact that i know couples that are deep into their relationships and they can be quite young. My advice, you will know when the time is right.

I had a very strict parent and brothers that were like two voracious guard dogs who kept boys away from me, so I didn't really start dating until I was about 20. My first date was the senior prom. But after 20, I was on a serious roll. Having the prom as a fist date was good since it set the standard for what I expected in a date, and I usually have good dates with pretty decent guys.

my first bf was when i was 12. however he was 16 and shortly into the 'relationship' it was way too much for me to handle. it was too serious and he expected things i wasn't even very sure of. when we broke up it hurt and i was so sad. the emotions were so intense i could barely comprehend them. i think some harmless group dates w/ kids the same age is fine for 12, 13 and even 14 yr olds. i was about 16 then when i started really dating. after my first bf i retreated from the dating world for a few yrs. i went out w/ a group of friends and we always had fun but then at 16 is when i wanted one on one and longed for that 'relationship'.

When I had my first bf, I was 11. And we DID like one another, and we were good friends. AND all the other people had bf/gf's too (but thats not the reason I did it). But a good age to get into a realitionship, is about 14,15, maybe 13, or 12.
BUT when I dumped him, (I didnt really want to, per-pressure), we never talked again. I still want to be his friend. But that was in 5th grade, and now im in 7th. So be careful.

I am 15 and i started dating at 14. I am in a good relationship now and i think 14 is a good age because that is when we start to mature a little bit more. 13 and under they are still really into little stuff :]

I was dating at 14-with my parent's permission. The young men had to come to the house and be interviewed by my parents before we went on the date. Some didnt pass the interview and I had to watch tv instead of going out. My first "serious" boyfriend was when I was 16 and it lasted until I was 18. I should have kept on dating a whole bunch of fellas.
