Yes, and I think it's disgusting. That's why I always look at the nutritional facts and ingredients before I eat something. I like knowing exactly what I'm putting into my body.

(also, that reminds me of the Juicy Juice comercials where the kids are in a play about food and one little boy is 'high frutcose corn syrup that has been chemicaly altered.' hehe)

I believe there was a story about this on NPR not too long ago - the country is consuming too much corn because it is processed into almost every food on grocery shelves. This is bad. Humans are meant to have a diverse diet and too much of one thing has ill effects. So...eat more whole foods and leave the processed stuff at the grocery store whenever you can.

Yes, I have. I always check the labels for it.

I believe even Gatorade has it. I don't drink Gatorade.

Useless fact:

The absence of corn syrup on the Mexican version of Coke is the reason many people like it better than the American version. The Mexican version uses cane sugar and has a different taste.

Yes and it's garbage. Proof that the American "food" processors don't give a damn about the health of the public. The almighty dollar is still king.

Yup. I always check food labels for both HFCS and partially hydrogenated oil. (Which basically means I have to stay out of the center aisles at the grocery store...).

In response to AnnA's answer: it just turns into fat.
