No, I'd be hearing all kinds of noices coming from the engine if I had one of those motors. Just as I was answering 2 of your questions, 1st Truex, then Jr. blew up. It's happening so fast now, it's hard to keep up. I don't think this is the last one either.

I don't think the chevy engine likes the car of tomorrow body style. Many people are having problems with it.

It almost seems that a slower race and car is the only answer now.

Next year they plan to test it on the longer races. I think we'll see even more problems and DNF's.

I agree, crew chiefs never see the inside of an engine till it blows. That guy hates anything to do with Jr. and does not have a clue.

Harvick should be fine he's running the 6 inch spliter, that should keep the engine cooler and that's the key.

And people say Tony JR going with JR is a good thing. He's the one behind all the set-ups and he influences all the other teams as well. we'll see next year if JR keeps blowing engines. I think most of this falls on Tony JR's shoulders. It's ultimately the crew chiefs responsibility to inspect the engine thoroughly to ensure there are no flaws. I don't think he has enough experience to identify a problem. He was promoted way too fast to crew chief. He experienced some success under his father, but that was not him.

Since it was an impound race I believe Brian France and Big T slipped in the shop at night and dropped some sand in their engine

They need their other engine builder in there

Time to clear the stands and give leg room for the people that like real race car drivers.
