I do, as a taxpayer.
I don't have a problem with it. The aircraft are airborne already for training purposes as it's critically important to keep your pilots sharp, so it's money well spent.
When I'm at the track and see a formation fly-over, I'm seeing tangible results from my tax dollar. Something rarely seen in most other goverment spending.
Besides, the emotion I experience at the display is closer to pride than shame.

The fly over at sporting events are two fold.
1-They are public relations.
2- They are used as a training mission for pilots,ground crews,and the multipal support personel to get the timeing to a specific place at a specific time.
