How do Catholics say the Novena?

I'm Catholic and I always wondered how to say the Novena. If you could give me a website or a step-by-step method on how to pray a Novena, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

A novena is a prayer or series of prayers said over 9 consecutive days.

They prayers depend on your purpose/ the saint whose prayers you are requesting.

It all depends. There are a number of Novenas, with their own set of prayers, and lenth of days in which to say these prayers.

A printed Novena will have all the instructions including the list of prayers. It will tell you what to pray, when to pray it, and for how long. Printed Novenas are readily available at Catholic Church, and on the web.

There are many novena devotions -- which are nine-day periods of prayer (novena derived from the Latin meaning "nine"). The practice is based on Scripture in Acts 1:14 when following His ascension the Apostles, Mary, and other followers of Jesus devoted themselves to constant prayer for nine days, after which the Holy Spirit descended on Pentecost.
