My dad has gout and it attacks his feet. As of right now, his feet are swollen and he wants to know what can he do to stop the swelling or make it go down? Please respond A.S.A.P

Advil liquid capsules were quickly on the pain in inflammation. Take them four times daily. I advise you buy black cherry juice or cherry juice from the health food store and have your father drink as much as possible as this helps eliminate the buildup causing the inflammation And pain.

for now he should not consume red meat, beans or any alcohol.

If he doesn't feel better in a few days he should see his medical doctor.

well unless he has a condition to counterindicate it you could start with using an anti-inflammatory such as a NSAID...keep the leg elevated and if he can tolerate it you could use ice (but for short periods of time only)...it is important to keep your fluid intake sufficient during an attack as well
