I have been waiting on the Lord for a long time for something I truly need, and I just told God I have done all I can and the ball is in your court and I need Him to intervene because I dont know what to do anymore and I am at a standstill and I was wondering if any of you ever went through a time where God did not answer your prayers? What do you do when God is silent?

God isn't silent. He talks to you in ways you may not be aware of. Listen to Him with your eyes, not just your ears. Listen to Him with your thoughts. You might be surprised at the answers you'll get.

I've been there myself. Its a fiery trail, right? Sounds like tribulation, doesn't it? Sometimes God must put our faith to the test to build it, and yes, test it. Abraham was promised a child who would carry forth the promises given to him by God in Genesis 12, 13, 15. Abraham had to wait until he was an old man before God blessed him with the promised seed-and THEN told Abraham that he would have to give him up as a sacrifice!! Now all this took many decades to unfold, and it must have seemed like an eternity to Abraham. I don't know what you're going through, and I'm sure its tearing you up inside, but this can be part of the life of being one of Gods' children. I'm not trying to 'throw scriptures at you', but I listed a few for you here. Meditate on them. 1 Peter 1:3-9, 4:12-19, 5:6-10 ; Romans 5:1-5; Acts 14:21-22 ; Hebrews 10:32-36, 12:1-17; Psalm 34:19: 2 Cor. 4:7-18. "In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." - Jesus Christ

Keep the faith. He always comes through at just the right time. I have seen it happen multiple times in my life.

By the way, once I prayed about a personal situation for months upon months. After I prayed, I spent time trying to figure out what to do about it. That was my mistake. Finally, I said, "God, I give up. If it gets fixed, you will have to fix it." and I quit trying to figure it out myself. Within 3 weeks, the problem resolved completely. Praise God.

The only advice that I can give you is that : when God doesn't answer your prayers all you can do if you believe that He is God in the flesh is to be patient . Sometimes His answer is not to say anything at all , and I feel He does it this way to see if we are studying and things as we ought to do as it says in the Word for us to do . I hope this helps you in your hour of need .

Yes we went through a time when God didn't answer our prayers. It was called the Holocaust. We lost fully HALF the entire world population of our people in that genocide. 70 years ago.

What did we do, those of us who survived? Some became athiests, some of us continued to love God with all our hearts and minds and souls and remain true to the Torah.

I guess it's every person's choice.

I just sit back and wait on him. He is wanting people who will rely on him and do things his way. Sometimes he doesn't give us what we want, but I have experienced that he is always right on time. Don't lose hope just keep waiting never forget that he hears you. Go knows your heart desires. Just keep waiting it will happen. I love when God blesses his people!

Continue to wait on him. If for some reason you can't wait any longer, step out in faith and trust that he's watching over you. He'll let you know if you're making a mistake.

We often ask God for what we want but he answers in HIS own time and way. So when you ask then preface it with if it be your will,my Lord.
