I think it depends upon what kind of person you are. Plus your question is a little on the vague side. What night time hours? What daytime hours are for college? You may end up falling asleep during college.

I actually work overnight three days a week, and I am online with my classes. But at my job, I get about 5-10 customers per night, and I can study a lot
It would be way too hard to study in the day and work all night
I sleep all day during my night shifts
it is a VERY bad idea, you're studying will be severly hurt by little sleep, there are rythms your body goes through, and people working at night reset those rythms. Over the span of 24 hours you need to sleep at least 7 hours sometime, and if it's the same time you sleep every day, your rythm will be reset. Now if you stay awake too much, your balance will be killed

Yes, it is a bad idea under the circumstances as you state them. Savings could hurt your chances of getting financial aid next year if you have too much. Your savings count at a higher interest rate than your parents' savings when you fill out the FAFSA form. If you worked at McDonalds to pay off your bills each month and to eat, it would be no problem. Besides, federally backed student loans do not require payments until 6 months after you graduate from college. I have included some readings to help you on this.

welcome to college! it sounds like you are doing what you need to do to be successful. Keep it up and do what you have to do during the week so that you can spend time with your family on the weekends. Realize that you're in college and this is how it goes. You have the advantage because you can commute and see your family. Some people don't. Don't forget that college is a sacrifice and you have the holidays to look forward to. That makes them extra special!

as long as you don't burn yourself out, i say go for it. that's what i did and when u get older there will be more time and money for rest and relaxation .i know from experience that is doesn't leave much time for a social life but now I'm glad i buckled down .these days i make great money and have a good social life and all that work seems like a distant memory to me.life is too short to NOT reach your goals.

You can do it if you are very organized and can stay on task. I worked through college, but it was real tough.
