Now this is a stupid question maybe but it's been bugging me for days now.
God created everything ... where did the Holy Spirit come into it? Was It created by God too?

But if the Holy Spirit is God why do they need mentioning seperately. And then it's not really a Trinity either since 1 is 2. I'm confused ...

The Holy Spirit is God's active force, not a person - Acts 2:2,3 &33. John 14:17. He used in creation, and He used it to inspire the writing of the bible - Genesis 1:2 - Ezekial 11:5.

I expect all Christians to disagree with my interpretation of the ‘ Holy Spirit ‘ But here goes anyway ...

It is a set of authorities or powers given to a successful candidate priest in 1st century Judea. With the power of the Holy Spirit you are allowed to Act , Speak or Teach with the authority of God – just like gods’ messenger or mediator.

Today it would be like the Vatican allowing a priest to forgive sins. Forgiving sins might be one of the things that a priest with the ‘ Holy Spirit ‘ is permitted to do. Technically only God can forgive sins , but if you have been given the power of the Holy Spirit , you are permitted to forgive sins as if you were God. Another one might be the authority to host the celebration at the passover or enter the Most High Place behind the second curtain where the ark of the covenant was kept or permission to have Kids and perhaps father the Messiah !

It is my opinion that the Pharisees called Jesus a blasphemer , because he was performing these ‘ Holy Spirit ‘ ceremonies and rituals without first being given the authority of the Holy Spirit by the Pharisees. Jesus was forgiving sins as a god without being a ( son of ) god - John 10:34

John 7:39 : Jesus himself was not filled with the Authority of the Holy Spirit until after he was glorified in the name of Melchizedek ( Heb 6:20 )

Luke 1-67 : John the Baptists’ dad , Zechariah , was filled with the Holy Spirit.

Luke 1:41 : Elizabeth , John the Baptists mother was filled with the holy spirit and had the Authority to ‘ Bless ‘ other women as in Luke 1:45

Acts 8:17 : After the Christians broke away from Judaism it seemed like anyone could get in on the act ..., we have Peter and John getting their promotion from the apostles . However Simon Magnus is not given the powers and gets quite upset.

In Summary , Holy Spirit is allegorical text just like the rest of the Bible .

The Holy Spirit was created by God. The Father , Son and Holy Spirit as one is a metaphor. Not a fact. God created all in the Heavens and down here too. Jesus got his job because he had been the only angel that had not sinned against God. The Holy Spirit come into us that are really, very serious about God and Jesus. Willing to read and pray every day. And believe full strength!

God is far above us, we cannot comprehend the Trinity because we do not experience it. Thats the kind of God I would expect to exist, one who cannot be understood in human terms, or else surely he would just be one of us.

The Trinity have existed since for ever, in perfect fellowship. I have experienced the Holy Spirit's presence and power in my own life, and i used to be a cynic too..

Explaining the nature of God, the Bible clearly states: “God is a Spirit.” (John 4:24) A spirit has a form of life that differs greatly from ours, and it is invisible to human eyes. There are invisible spirit creatures as well. They are angels “the sons of the true God

The word “spirit” is also used in the Bible in another sense. Addressing God in prayer, the psalmist said: “If you send forth your spirit, they are created.” (Psalm 104:30) This spirit is not God himself but a force that God sends forth, or uses, to accomplish whatever he wishes. By means of it, God created the physical heavens, the earth, and all living things. His spirit is called holy spirit. God used his holy spirit to inspire the men who wrote the Bible. (2 Peter 1:20, 21) Hence, the holy spirit is the invisible active force that God uses to fulfill his purposes.

Holy spirit pours forth from Jehovah in limitless supply. It is God’s power in action. In fact, at Genesis 1:2, the Bible refers to it as God’s “active force.” The original Hebrew and Greek words that are rendered “spirit” may, in other contexts, be translated “wind,” “breath,” and “blast.” According to lexicographers, the original-language words suggest an invisible force in action. Like wind, God’s spirit is invisible to our eyes, but its effects are real and discernible.

A comparison of Bible texts that refer to the holy spirit shows that it is spoken of as ‘filling’ people; they can be ‘baptized’ with it; and they can be “anointed” with it. None of these expressions would be appropriate if the holy spirit were a person.

Jesus also referred to the holy spirit as a “helper, and he said that this helper would “teach,” “bear witness,” “speak,” and ‘hear.’ (John 14:16, 17, 26; 15:26; 16:13) It is not unusual in the Scriptures for something to be personified. For example, wisdom is said to have “children.” (Luke 7:35) Sin and death are spoken of as being kings. (Rom. 5:14, 21) While some texts say that the spirit “spoke,” other passages make clear that this was done through angels or humans. (Acts 4:24, 25; 28:25, not only the spirit but also “the water and the blood” are said to ‘bear witness.’ So, none of the expressions found in these texts in themselves prove that the holy spirit is a person.

The correct identification of the holy spirit must fit all the scriptures that refer to that spirit. With this viewpoint, it is logical to conclude that the holy spirit is the active force of God. It is not a person but is a powerful force that God causes to emanate from himself to accomplish his holy will.

We are all made from the the same stuff that houses our body. It is called God's image and is refer to spirit. A spirit is innocent on its primary state. It will undergo series of life experiences and make mistakes many times over due to its ignorance of its true identity. Little by little, its ignorance subsides with the truth. God is the truth. The truth that speaks of its true identity is a Holy spirit. This is why a spirit is said to be holy when it's perfectly in accordance with its true identity. Otherwise, it is called a soul/ego. So God is a spirit that is holy, separating from us whose unique individuality defined as soul - an identity still blemished with the untruth.

The Holy Spirit is part of God - think of God having different parts to His personality, and those three parts are the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. All three parts were with God from before the beginning of time, and will be there when time has finished! The Holy Spirit is the part of God that we can receive in us when we accept Jesus as our Saviour.

No one is entirely clear, but God as describe in the Bible seems to be divided into three equal parts: Father, Son & Spirit.

C.S. Lewis therorized that God the Spirit was the spirit of love that existed between God the Father and God the Son. It is the nature of God that even God's love is itself a living part of God with its own mind and will.
