Could be a zit on your ear... they usually look weird take forever to disappear. Your mom's being a mom and she's not serious. Just wash it with water, and wipe some hydrogen peroxide on it for a second or to get what ever nastiness in it out. Then, and this is the weird part but it works, put some white toothpaste on it. And not gel either... paste.
