Many churches teach this, but the Bible says that no man can “accept” Christ because all men are spiritually dead:
We read in Ephesians 2:1 And you hath He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.
The problem is that the Bible declares that man is spiritually dead in sin and totally incapable of mustering up faith in himself to salvation:
And there is none that calleth upon Thy Name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of Thee:… (Isaiah 64:7)
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. (Romans 3:11)
No man can come to Me, except the Father which hath sent Me draw him:… (John 6:44)

God has written the Bible in order to bring us to a knowledge of our wretched condition; and also to show us that salvation is absolutely not within man’s ability to achieve. God Himself must do all the work in the matter of saving the sinner:
When His disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? 26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. (Matthew 19:25-26)
As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. (Romans 9:13-15)

No they tell me the truth, like it says in the Gospel of John, chapter one:
12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—

If it was the case that man was incapable of being saved, then Christ would not have needed to come to earth and go to hell in the place of man.
It is important you be careful not to come to your own conclusions but instead read the Bible itself. You cannot mention those passages from Romans and John without first reading over all the parts where it says:
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3:17
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:15
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:9
God wants man to be saved, that's why he bore the pain of sin even though he was blameless so that man can be rescued from hell.
Everyman is dead in sin until he comes to Christ. Then through the Lord, he becomes redeemed.
And here is the corner stone of what Christ Himself said:
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6
Fact of the matter is that God is on your side, He's not trying to destroy you.

I wouldn't say that churches are lying when they say that we must accept Christ. I'd say they're just mistaken in their theology, and put the cart before the horse. Grace precedes faith, but I think too many people forget how serious sin is and how much it clouds the free will that they crave and claim in spite of what the Bible says. And we end up with the claims that "God doesn't want robots" never realizing that being slaves to sin is exactly what a robot is, dead to fellowship with God and automated to follow Satan and the ways of the world. It is life that we have in Christ, given to us because robots don't know how to "accept" for themselves. Every one of the verses you mentioned says "robot" -- none that calleth upon thy name, the robots are programmed differently from the start. None that understandeth, that says robot to me. No man can come to me except the Father, which hath sent me draw him, absolutely, because we are programmed for self-destruction save for a reorientation from a loving God. He has the prerogative to reprogram who he wants, and therefore predestine who he wants, and that makes perfect sense out of loving Jacob and hating Esau.

Yes the Holy Spirit calls you but you must accept and believe. The verse below is a nice example of how to get saved.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

are you trying to disprove the christian faith?first, you took the verses out of context, so you're missing the point of them (that is an argumental fallacy) the Bible does not declare that we are are spiritually dead, but rather that we are spiritually separated from Him. if you are truly seeking God, get some help. if someone told you this, then, don't go to them for advice, cause they are wrong.

My Proto-Demos does not preach this.
We do not worship Jesus Christ. Instead we worship the Gods and Goddesses of Greece.
Have a nice day.
