I don't know. Is there someone who used to live in the same house an isn't there anymore? If not, she might actually be in heat or pregnant, if you let her out. I'm not too sure why female dogs act like this. I just know that I used to have a female dog and male dog and after they mated, my female dog would just sit near the washer and dryer all the time and that's where she ended up giving birth.
I'm not sure if your dog is fixed or not, so I can't say. Also, my sister has a female dog and at one point she left it outside and this big dog tried to mate with her. Ever since that time, her dog hasn't been her hyper, happy self anymore.

It's he hungry?
May be is nothing wait to see what happens the next couple of days. We (humans) don't feel the same way every day. Animal are the same, it's just that, most of the time they are happy more then sad, because they don't have things to worried about. Maybe he is bored take him out for a walk. good luck

some dogs can get depressed if the person their really close to has not shown up in a while.
i my self have a dog and days when my daughter is not home he would sleep or wait by the door until she comes home. However, other days its because they are sick or just need fresh air by going for a walk.

take him for a walk like one other persion said... or maybe you just need to razzle em up a little bit! He'll come around! Everyone and everything gets lonely at some point.. maybe he needs a friend or just someone to play with! So get on that floor and wrestle eachother... or pretend that you're mad at him and are swooshing him around a little bit.. or even give em a treat or two (cheerios or plain vanilla ice cream work great also!)
--Good luck and god bless
glad to see you're so worried about your dog and that you know him or her so well! =) love ppl like you!

Sometimes dogs act wierd before an earthquake.
Or she could be ill, hungry, waiting on someone coming home, wanting to go on a walk, on heat, even pregnant!

maybe she feels lonely. you could try buying her a special treat, taking her on a walk, or just spending a little extra time with her. if that doesn't work she is probably just sleepy and she needs a little more rest. GOOD LUCK! i hope your dog feels better :)

Maybe she just doesn't feel good. Give it a day or two and if nothing changes I would take her to the vet.
