i AM SICK OF MY ABUSIVE FAMILY!!!!!?

IS it really a felony to abuse a spouse?? because if it is.. then i have a very big problem. my dad always hits my mom, and makes her cry and hes the meanest person ever. he calls me and everyone else in my family "stupid" everyday. sometimes when he drinks too much alchohol he says crazy random things and punches holes in the wall. my mom trys to call the cops, but he throws the phone against the walls and breaks it (we have had 4 phones broken so far). one day i came home from school, and my little 3 year old sister made a mes of legos on the floor. he pulled my hair and pushed me on the floor and told me to clean up my mess. i did, and then i asked him why he always makes messes, and makes us clean them, but he tells us we must clean up after ourself. he got mad and started yelling CRAZY random stuff. he said " SO NOW YOU WANT ME TO CLEAN UP AFTER YOU!YOUR STUPID! YOU WANT ME TO CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR MESS YOU ANIMAL" and then he punched me in the stumic. is it really a felony? why didn't anyone tell me

theres not a day that goes by where my family doesn't call me "stupid". not matter what i do.. no matter what i say. even though i get strait A's, i have a 4.0 gpa, and im in highschool.

its really sad... i see other familys. how happy they are. i have been wearing the same set of sneakeres everyday for 2 years now. when i ask my mother for new ones she says "whats wrong with the ones you have now" and i tell her they are old and torn and stuff, but they still fit, because my feet have not grown. she says in a mean angry tone "if they still fit then you do not need new ones". although she herself has over 30 pairs of shoes. she also buys herself expensive clothing and she owns 50+ purses of douney and bourk and coach handbags. then my dad ends up yelling at her for buying alot of cloths and they fight and hit each other and stuff.

then my dad complains about the water bill, and tells us not to use so much water.. i haven't taken a shower in 5 days!! and hes still not happy.. :(

im makeing myself sound like such a nerd. but i don't smell that bad because i use a lot of deoterent and perfume and not one notaces. and no one really looks at my shoes anyways..

my moms not as bad as my dad. at least she buys me cute cloths. (shes just a shopping adict and she just likes to treat me as her barbie doll that she dresses and stuff.) EXCEPT FOR SHOES. i don't know whats up with her and shoes. i just need like.. 2 pairs, so i can alternate.. BUT I GUESS i can live with what i have.

You are right, it is a crime to hit you. It is a crime to abuse you. It is not your fault in any way, you just have miserable parents. There is absolutely no excuse for violence against children, so don't look for one. I would suggest to you that you go to child services and report the abuse, get someone on YOUR side. If your dad is doing this to you, be sure he will start up on your sister once she gets older, maybe worse! He has no right to do this, being a parent is not a carte blanc to do whatever he pleases, there are laws that govern this kind of behavior, and he MUST obey them.

I read something funny about this question. Looks like an awful lot of yelling and abuse going on and no one seems to notice or care. I don't believe that you haven't been told or know about domestic abuse. Schools are up on informing students about this subject, school consulars are available there too.
Since you been a member of Yahoo Answers not a single reply or question has been about this subject. I know if my family had treated me as such, I would be looking for information on how to report it and where to go for help.
In Wisconsin if anyone dials 911 for the police and the call is terminated during or while the caller is speaking the police will be dispatched right away. Upon making contact at the home, they will enter and ask to see everyone that is in the home to verify the safety of everyone involved. They do not go away when you do not answer the door, I have had them yelling that they will break the door in if there isn't a response.
Their stance is someone from this number called and they will check out everything.
But lets just say this is an accurate explanation of your problem, you can next time you go to school inform them first thing and they are required by law to report it. You will be out of the house and needn't fear being caught. It seems by your side of this story reporting it from home only leads to more abuse so I wouldn't try from there.
I will ask, what would your parents do or say if they saw this question? Your dad is the one who will get charged with child / domestic abuse with your mom for failure to protect, is this true enough to report? You making a huge accusation here, I hope no one that knows you reports this and finds out you were just bored looking to fill your time.

That can happen in families at that sad time. To those you still love and respect stay in touch with them and feel free to give your side. I know I did when telling them I would walk away from things knowing Id look like I don't care rather than put up with all the bull chit. As to the others let them go and do the only thing that's possible. Be a good family member and do as much as possible to help out but get on with your life and don't ( try not ) let them get you down!

Yes abuse is a crime. If he putting hands on you and your mother then you should call the police now. have you talk to your mom yet... i mean at least see how she feels. don't tell her yet that you are going to go to police yet. she how she feels about him hitting on her.. and if you guys are on the same page then you both should go to the police. and if you could get out the house you and your mom and your sister too.. but you need to tell the police first and then make some plans from there...

i am really sorry to here that no one told you that any abuse is punishable.. and it not your fault..
but you now have the power to act...

You are definitly being abused. Nobody deserves this. Call 911 and be put into adoption. Trust me you will be much happier. Get your little sister to join the same new family you joined. I wish you all the luck and you are in my prayers.

YOU NEED TO CONTACT DHS Or 911-RIGHT AWAY!!!
You have to do this regardless of what your mother says . For the safety of yourself and your little sister make that call.....
Sometimes women like your mother think that abusing her is his way of showing her that he loves her. Its not love, hitting and throwing things it's ABUSE. Even verbal name calling is ABUSE.
Your DAD needs help and because of him you all need to get help and the sooner the better...Good luck you are in my prayers..

With all the attention given to abuse, you must get to the local law enforcement people and get help at once. If you have neighbors, it's amazing that they haven't called and reported it. Don't wait. Get help now.

punch in the wall, throw things and hits ur mom is of course ABUSE.you should call the police for you and your family's safe.
