Many people, if randomly aproched and asked what their faith/belife is, will say "I don't have one." But how can that be? i mean, think about it. to have a belife is to think about something and think that its true/right. so they have to have a faith/belife, right? and do u think they r only bluffing? also what do u think about faith in evry day life? do u think other faiths r better than others, or that all faiths r just to pushy. i want u to please tell me ur full thoughts on these matters. Thankx!

sorry but your questions has one assumption to many-at least-i not sure that you will comprehend this but i will try-you say to have a belief is to thing about something and think that it is true and right-therefore you must have a belief---the logic of that escapes me--i dont have a belief and dont think about it-easy--guess this is the best i can do----enjoy the day

Wow janet you got your 2 point just for bashing someone. You are so intelligent now please leave yahoo answers for ever as you are completely useless...
Now. Religion has gotten extremely difficult these days. The only way to be religious is to do what makes you feel true and right. It doesnt matter who you believe in. Some religions have strict structure, some people like this. Some scream in nonsense languages and roll on the floor (its in the bible so its ok) The point is just do what feels right.

The problem is that all these different churches we have today are for the most part, picking out their favorite lines in the Bible and leaving the rest alone. If there is a church that is following all of the Bible, I can't find it. And this maybe part of your answer. Believe in God and Jesus; but can't find a church that dose. I have seen them even make things up at churches. Back in 1996 one church leader predicted the earth would end with in three months. I believe we are still here. :)

Yes, many people have faith. However, atheists do not have faith in gods.
I am an atheist. I do not have faith in any gods. I believe other things, like the love my family has for me. However, most of my beliefs have solid evidence to support them.

people have different working definitions of what "faith" and "belief" mean to them. They may be used to people who use the terms in such a narrow way, that they do not associate their philosophy-of-life with those very terms.
I myself think that most people who really stress "faith" seem to be content with a certain philosophy, and seem to be the least open to other philosophies. To me, "faith" implies that one has generally settled for existing dogmas, and is stagnating one's self in terms of spiritual growth.

The law is not of faith: Galatians 3:11,12.
Whatsoever not of faith is sin: Romans 14;23.
So begin your faith-->hope-->charity(never fails) with grace,
unless you want your hope to be hopeless instead of hopeful.
Pst: faith only leads to hope, of faith-->hope-->charity: 1Cor13
Pst: ppl only hope for what they don't have, or don't know they have it, which is the same as not having it: understanding.
Repeating Law is Law Law. Grace is not Law Law.
Grace neither makes nor takes sides have side effects.
Get it: Understanding = "grace" glory crowned (Proverbs 4)
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

People who answer that they don't have one may be thinking of religious faith. Or maybe they do and don't think it's any body's business.

I believe that you need to learn that the proper words are...you, are, and our. And that the word "I" is a capital "I" not "i". You are also supposed to capitalize the first letter of a sentence.
As for religious beliefs...I don't have any, period.
