I do, I use it for baking a lot during the holidays. I'm not into using it to replace fresh milk, though, it's just nowhere near the same. I think it's just very easy to get fresh milk just about anywhere now, so most people don't buy evaporated milk for a backup to fresh.

Why do you think they stopped buying it? Evaporated milk is usually used just in recipies and not for straight up drinking so its not sold as much as other milk products, but it's still sold so I'm pretty sure people didn't just stop buying it...

The last time I bought it was a couple of months ago, before I joined WeightWatchers. Since I always buy evaporated whole milk and I got into the habit from my grandmother's house of mixing it up with water and sugar, it would kind of kill my diet, especially since I refuse to use anything but cyclamates, the only artificial sweetener that tasted good, and the only one besides saccharin that doesn't taste like (_*_)partame. (Splecccchda® tastes and aftertastes like chlorinated sugar because it's made from chlorinated sugar.)

Love evaporated milk on tinned fruit. Even better condensed milk...it's so sweet. mmmmm milk!

I still buy it but not as much. Half and Half works better for coffee.
Alot of old timers used to put it in their coffee before 1/2 & 1/2 came along.

I still buy it, my husband loves evaporated milk on tinned peaches and he dips bread in the juice!!!!!!!!!!!

I buy it. That is what I use when I make milk gravy for my husband, and son.

I use it to make rice puddings richer and for jelly mousse now and again. I hate it in tea and coffee tho, it's too sickly.
