... I heard that Polar Bears won't be around in 100 Years due to something called Global Warming? If so, what is Global Warming, what can we do to stop it? And who is affected by it?

Global warming refers to the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans in recent decades and its projected continuation.

The global average air temperature near the Earth's surface rose 0.74 ± 0.18 °C (1.33 ± 0.32 °F) during the last 100 years. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concludes, "most of the observed increase in globally averaged temperatures since the mid-20th century is very likely due to the observed increase in anthropogenic greenhouse gas concentrations"[1] via the greenhouse effect. Natural phenomena such as solar variation combined with volcanoes probably had a small warming effect from pre-industrial times to 1950 and a small cooling effect from 1950 onward.[2][3] These basic conclusions have been endorsed by at least 30 scientific societies and academies of science, including all of the national academies of science of the major industrialized countries. However, a few individual scientists disagree with some of the main conclusions of the IPCC.

well the news have been talking a lot about it for awhile, but basically the carbon dioxide and other harmful gases that pollute the air rises up. The ozone, which keeps all the air from escaping, also keep the other harmful gases. With all the hot air gathering up there causes the heat to rise and thus starting global warming. Polar bears is like the elast of your worries with global warming.
You can help by using less electricity. There's even lightbulbs that help reduce the use of energy. There are other things that could out a lot, and some of them are expensive. you should really research this stuff and maybe watch some movies by Al Gore.
I'm pretty sure that's what global warming has to do with. I only learned this stuff when i was 14 so you might want to do your own research.

hope it helped

Global Warming is being caused by all the damage we have donre to the earth such as litter, noise pollution and as well destroying the ozone layer while people are thinking of them selves down in the Arctic and Antartica The Ice has been melting causing less land and more water polar bears live mostly on land not just water if this keeps on happening then polar bears willl be extinct due to the lack of ice and winter weathers

Don't believe the lies coming out of Al Gore's lying profiteering mouth. It's true, the earth is warming. However, this is a natural cycle caused by the sun, NOT BY MAN. There is nothing we can do about it. Eventually the Earth will go through a cooling cycle, it's just the natural process. Back in the mid 60's we had a cooling period that democrats try to create a panic about saying we were headed for another ice age. Gore wants all of use to buy " Carbon Credits" to off set our carbon footprint. This money is supponsly used to plant trees and etc. But, Guess what? Good ole' AL owns the company selling them. This global warming craze is meet for only one thing. To put millions in lying Al's pockets.

Some gases ("greenhouse gases") let sunlight in, which warms the Earth, and then block that heat from leaving. That's the "greenhouse effect", and it's a natural thing, mostly caused by water vapor.

Man is making excessive amounts of greenhouse gases, mostly by burning fossil fuels. That causes the delicate natural balance to go out of whack and the Earth warms. That's global warming.

It won't be a Hollywood style disaster. Gradually coastal areas will flood and agriculture will be damaged. But it will be very bad. Rich countries will cope, but it will take huge amounts of money. In poor countries many people will die of starvation, but not all of them.

Most scientists say, in 20-50 years. But we need to start right now to fix it, fixing it will take even longer than that.

global warming is the ozone layer, the layer that surrounds the earth made up of carbon and oxygen and protects us from UV rays, is getting too thick, so the heat in the earth is rising. We can stop it if we planted more flowers and trees. plants use up the carbon in vehicles so it will thin out the layer over time. Everyone is affected, because if global warming hurricanes pop up more and is more deadly, animals die because temperature is of balance and overtime the earth will be too hot to live on.

global warming is warming of the earth when pollution in the air like gas, some types of make up, etc. are ruining the ozone layer of the atmosphere which is letting in more direct amount of sunrays making the earth heat up and this is melting the ice bergs and all the ice making the water level higher which is bad and polar bears are in danger so we need to do something about it

Good Question!
Shows you are a thinker.
Truth is, the earth has been in a cycle of heating and cooling for centuries. Some people have attributed this to the co2 or carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

The truth is that no one knows but it is for sure that man could not warm up the atmosphere even if he wanted to.

Try this on for size.

We are, and have been using water abserbing diapers world wide for forty years and look at all the urine and water those millions of diapers have absorbed.

Water that is trapped in land fills forever in the disposable diapers, is not available to enter the cycle of evaporation, condensation, and cooling of the planet.

Because water is a cooling medium, do you suppose that the reduction in water available to the enviroment may have an effect on the ability of the earth to maintain its temperature?

After all if you loose some refrigerant from your air conditioner, it will not operate property right.

Something to think about

and we all know that it is better to think than to jump on the "band wagon"

Ask any fly that has landed on some fly paper.
