epsom salt is magnesium sulfite. not the same as salt which is sodium chloride. epsom salts are not suitable for healing piercings.

h2ocean is a good product for when you are not at home an able to do a proper salt soak. Salt soaks are cheap and easy. 1/4tsp salt in 8oz warm water (or 4tsp salt in 1 gallon of water *distilled preferably*). I soaked my septum by tipping my head way over the sink and dipping the tip of my nose into a cup filled to the brim with the salt water solution. You can also use gauze pads or paper towels to dunk into the salt solution and hold against your septum, but soaking is better imo.

good luck

Mix 1/4-1 tsp sea salt into 8 ounces of warm water. This sounds silly, but basically dip your nose into the solution and blow all the air bubbles out of your nose. Soak for 10 minutes, breathing through your mouth!

Only use sea salt or rock salt, that does NOT contain iodine!

hi. dont ever use h2o whatever, just take regular table salt and warm water in a cup and dip ur nose it it 2 times a day, use dial to wash it put the soap in ur hands make a lather and put it on the wound let it sit and rinse,. i have pierced my own septum 2 times, this time i have a double septum and i just use dial and salt rinses and im all healed up.
oh and dont pierce anything yourself unless you have apperenticed (i have for a little more than a year and i also have clients, ive been active for a little more than 2 years.) if you need to hide it then go ahead and get a retainer and tuck it in, there is no need to have it out when u just get it really and it helps if you have to hide it for work or home. oh and always wash ur hands before and use clean qtips to apply the salt water if you dont wanna dunk your nose in a cup.
the salt removes bacteria thats the use for it.

My cousin has her bellybutton pierced and uses salt water to clean it..

She told me she uses that cuz she heard alcohol can kill the healing cells or somethin...

She uses sea salt cuz it's powdery and dissolves easy...
