If you like the others, you should LOVE lobster, especially if you dont have to pay for it.
Themost basic way of eating it is it will come to the table and you get to play with your food( lobster crackers and forks should be provided) and as you pull it from the shell, you dip it into melted butter.....YUMMMMMMM....~ it there a spare seat????
Enjoy.

It does not taste fishy at all. It is actually quite tasty. Just get a steamed lobster tail, and have it cracked out of the shell for you. Dip it into a little butter, and you will be in heaven. It's got a taste of it's own - and it's very good. That's why people like it so much. Try it! it won't kill you. Get the surf and turf, and if you don't like it, you still got the steak, and I'm sure someone will take it off your hands, no problem. As long as someone else it paying, it's almost risk free! Cheers!

If you like shrimp and crab, you'll sure like the taste of lobster then! Lobster to me has it's own unique taste. If the lobster is cooked at the right temperature and cooking time frame, it'll not tasted like shrimp or crab and it'll not be rubbery like most of the people refered to.
The most famous lobster is surely the Maine lobster from France which is widely served at most expensive restaurant around the world.
To enjoy a lobster, simply request the chef to cook it with simple marination of salt-pepper-dill-lime/lemon. A well cooked lobster meat should not taste like mushroom or rubbery texture. Try to eat the lobster with cheese sauce or shrimp/lobster reduction.Try to avoid ketchup or cocktail sauce.

I find it a tad like crab, only milder.

If you enjoy shrimp and crab you'll probably like it.

If it's your first time, I suggest ordering lobster tail, as opposed to the whole thing. The whole lobster can be a bit intimidating right off.

lobster is very nice. I had a big lobster in new york last month, it was brilliant. although if your having a full lobster then there is a not a lot of meat in it. there is a lot of shell and if you dont know hoe to remove the meat from the shell properly then you will be there all night. hope its shelled for you, enjoy!!!

Hello:

I have had lobster before and I wasn't impressed with the taste of it whatsoever! It tastes like a really strong rubbery fish, and the taste is really overwhelming. I tried to dip it in butter and I even tried to dip it into some cocktail sauce, and it still tasted very fishy, rubbery, and gross!

It's kinda like a meatier prawn/shrimp and not unlike crab. If you like seafood, you'll like lobster.
