I know I am, after reading statistics on how many times a dollar earned is actually taxed....begins with income tax, tax if you save it and earn interest, taxed if you use money saved, taxed every time we buy something.
Also, have you noticed how every time a tragedy happens in our country, we have to raise money from our own selves...the citizens, to pay for helping others or providing the things government should be prepared for. In the mean time, we are in debt $600,000,000,000.00 due to war. Do you think America is being duped?

Mathew: I am employed full time and not a bum, as your comment seems to assume. I don't understand your input.

We're far more in debt than $600 billion, my friend. Try $9 TRILLION! Of that, about $2 trillion is attributable to the war and the gulf coast storms of a few years ago. Maybe you should be asking the current administration what happened to the other $5-odd trillion that has disappeared!

Forget about taxes, ours are some of the lowest in the industrialized world!

Perhaps you should stop using the services the government provides so the rest of us would have lower taxes. If you promise I am sure that the government would lower the tax rates. While I would surely agree that the government spends money on things that they should not I believe the hard part would be to get any agreement. But I have noticed that most people that complain a great deal are among those that us a good portion of those services.
