No, I think He created humans to share in things greater than we can understand. I think life is a learning time, and after we move on to become part of an even more wondrous creation. I think God made humans out of love to share with.

What comes to my mind is the image of an 8-year old delinquent who likes to go out in the yard at noon, on a sunny day, and kneel over an ant hill with a magnifying glass... roasting ants.

I sure am glad he's just imaginary. I'll be a lot MORE glad when 5 billion morons figure that out, too.

It does occur to me that it would make him a megalomaniac and with all that other stuff about having to believe in him even though he does not show himself anywhere or in anything except an obsolete book. MMM no wonder so many question.

No, it's more like God created humans so He could praise them.

Love needs something outside of itself to complete the cycle. We show that love by giving compliments, doing things for, caring and nurturing, and yes, praise and worship to our Creator is the best part. We were created so that God had someone to love and that we could love Him back unconditionally. That's why we have a relationship with Him.

I think God created us to do a good work on this earth for him and the praising comes along with it once you serve God on Earth and do share his love with others making sure they are ready to meet him I think with the battles and troubles we have and we overcome the praising comes and so what if this was his purpose is that so hard to do? I mean he hasn;t ask you to move mountains

yes, God has created the humans to thank him, praise him for what all he had given us,what all to be given through our prayers, and we humans have to remember Him in the toughest of our times too.. Our purpose in this world is to worship him.. if asking why to worship him? if it wouldnt have been ,we wouldn't have existed here...

I do not believe that an omnipotent God would feel the need for outside validation. I also do not feel that a "loving father" would condemn good people to Hell simply because they did not kowtow to Him.
I also believe the people who say you get to Heaven solely through faith, not works are just looking for an excuse to not do good deeds.

The Gods create (conceive) us to propagate their species. All living things have a method to extend their kind. Why should it be different for a God?
