i have a lepord cur and it is good when trainng and the squirrel is on the ground but she wont bark and when a squirrel gets in a tree she loses intrest

Age has a lot to do with your issue.... Yours and hers.

trap a squirrel in a small live trap and tie it in a tree. then scratch the tree with a stick up and down and tell her to get the squirrel. Also when she starts baying at a tree take your time shooting it out, after you shoot it out let her mouth it for a couple of minutes before you move on. Also it really helps to run them with finished dogs. Good luck hunting and thank you for carring on a Fine American tradition.

You did not say how old she was, as she gets older I believe she will.* You could hunt her with another dog & she may bark quicker.*
