Jeff,
I pray at every meal no matter where I am. When I am with my family it is a public prayer (Generally quiet). When I am alone, I pray under my breath with my head bowed. I do not do so to make a spectacle of myself but I also feel that GOD is more important that anyone around me at any time. HE should NEVER be ignored for convenience sake. Most of my other prayers are at home since I have been disabled, that is where I spend most of my time. Have a wonderful week.
Thanks,
Eds

I do pray in public, but I do it discreetly.
I don't see a reason to not pray if I feel the need to...

i like SAHARA's answer (muslimah as well lol) i think praying doesn't have anything to do with where it is done.well if you do pray privetly,i don't see a reason why you can't pray publicaly as well?! if you pray, you pray where ever you like to,but if you don't,than praying privatly is just a simple excuse for not praying! But these days, praying in public seems to be a bit embarassing for some people, they feel like they are going to be juged as some kind of stupid religeous non-cool geeks, you know what i mean!LOL.so if you really know what you are doing, why would you care about what other people think?NOW THAT IS LOGICAL!

No, that's something I reserve for the privacy of my home. I don't even pray in front of my kids because it's a personal thing.

When I used to, I always tried my best to pray in private.
I feel it's a private matter.

If it's just me, I stop what I'm doing to pray but I do it silently. When my family goes out to eat though, my husband or dad says the prayer out loud (with a hushed voice) for all of us. We're not doing it to "show off" to anyone, but we're not ashamed to pray publicly either, to give thanks to God for our food.

I don't pray at all. But if I did, I'd do it privately.
