My 8 year old daughter bottom teeth are loose. Not severely but you can see them wiggle I will call our dentist tomorrow morning but has anyone had this problem? They are adult teeth that is why I am very worried.
She sees a dentist every 6 months and was there just a month ago and had a good check up.

These are adult teeth. They are her 2 bottom teeth right in the middle. She lost her baby teeth there over a year ago.

HELLO KRIS,

THE ROOTS FOR THESE ADULT TEETH HAVE NOT HAD THEIR ROOTS COMPLETELY CLOSED, AS THIS WON'T HAPPEN FOR A TIME LONGER. THERE IS A SLIGHT MOVEMENT ON A VERY SLIGHT SCALE NORMALLY FOR ADULT TEETH WHEN THEY ARE HEALTHY.
DO NOT PLAY WITH THESE TEETH TO SEE HOW MUCH THEY CAN WIGGLE.

Yes there is always slight movement in teeth I guess especially when the roots haven't completely formed. But if you can see them wiggle - gosh I don;t think that should be like that. Take her to the dentist. Has she had a knock on them recently? A fall? or a knock from the door or bike or a ball maybe. Often when we have a knock on the tooth they become loose, that is the only reasonable explanation. Anyway good luck

Are you sure those aren;t baby teeth? Has she lost her 1st set of teeth from that area?
