I am making a curry with aready made pot of sauce, some chicken and veg. . .
On the instructions, it tells you to fry the chicken first BUT whenever I do this, it doesn't go very tender.
Do you think it would be better to boil the chicken breasts first and then add them to the curry sauce, etc.?

Thanks

usually what i did, is fry the ingredients like onion, garlic, (wet curry paste), fry till the aroma rose up to ur nostrils hehehe, then add ur chicken fillet, fry for about 5-10 mins, then add water ( depends on how thick u want ur curry to be..), coconut milk or healthier choice wud be evaporated milk/ fresh milk, add potatoes, let it boil den simmer.

Try it. Ur chicken curry will taste good and tender :)

If you are asking if it's OK to cook the chicken first- sure.

boned or not...skinless, put in pot with salted water and a slice of onion...bring to a boil, then turn it way down to simmer.
cook time varies, so poke it with a fork every 10 min or so till it's tender. chop it up and toss into the curry mix.

I never "boil" chicken...you need to poach the breasts gently in salted water, then add to the curry.

I usually make curry with whatever leftovers we have and it usually turns out just fine, so I'm pretty sure ir doesn't matter how you cook the chicken so long as it is throughly cooked.
