The point is that nothing dies .what does not exist , does not die.
Matter always exists in some form or oehr andit never dies .Itis indestructible .if it is indestructible , it has no beginning .what has no ending has no beginning .The manifestation of life is Maya .You see the charcters of a TV show talking and action as musch as yu do in your real life .they at times do better thanwhat yu do in real life .But they are not real .but still they appear to e ral and convey some message .. the shapes that matter assumes is continuing to change.the very lives on earth have been chaging from the time life began ot appear on this earth.in fact the elements themselves were ,made out of the free floating energy particles in th espace the gret resevoir of energy that has always been existing . the only thing is that they are undergoing a cyclic change .since the ris no death ,life continues to exist in different forms ,from the unmanifest to the manifest and agaoins to endu p ina an unmaifest form to reappear as manifest and so aon for ever incessantly. hydrogen and oxygen combine to form water and they disintergrate to some extent and theyalso change into vapour and condense rto form somnow and ice and again melt into waer and fall to the bround ,geet absorbed by the soil .some collect under the soil and some get absorbed by he roots of plants and reach the lees and some of them get avaporated in ot vapour and some are retained in the leaves , the stems , the fruits etc which inturn get into the body of beoings that eat them and so on.It is impoosible to get inot the details of the change that every atom of wter undergoes . but the fact is that the elements contu=inue ot change from one to another ; but the atoms conain the same basic components that ar aas actie as they wer for ever ad if they stop functioning , thendeath of the universe would occur .till then , the vegetation would be in the form of a seed , that germinates and changes inot seedling , a plant , a tree aht would bear fruits hat contain seeds that would again germninate an undergo the process that the tree that bore the fuit it was cointained in , underwent .. nothing dies at any stage .If anything could die the whole unverse could have vanished and nothing would have reamined of the universe.
"Actions are all effected
by the qualities of nature ;
but deluded by individuality
the self thinks ," I am the actor ."....verse 27 of the 3Rd teachig of Bhagavad -gita .
"Creatures are unmanifest in origin,
manifest in the midst of life ,
and unmanifest again in the end ,
Since this is so , why should you lament .?" ..verse 28 of 3rd teaching .
"The self embodied in the body
of every being is indestructible ;
you have no cause to grieve
for all these creatures .Arjuna ."...verse 30 of 3rd teachig .
"Never have I not existed ,
nor you , nor these kings ,
and never in the future
shall we cease to exist . verse 12 of 2nd teaching .
" Nothing of non-being comes to be ,
nor does beoig cease to exist ;
the boundary between these two
is seenby men who see reality."...vrse 17 of 2nd teaching .
We are deluded by individuality of being ..The individuality is evanescent and unreal . it is Maya .so the confusion of existence and death.

I think it's really odd that everyone is unconscious every night for a couple hours---their consciousness doesn't exist---and yet they somehow think they will be conscious after they die and no longer have a body. Weird.
P.S. Obviously an unconscious but sleeping person is actually alive and has some low-level mental activity. This activity may have some remembered effects upon return to consciousness. A dead person, however, has no mental activity. To attribute consciousness to such a person is to hypothesize that the consciousness can exist independently of the brain, an hypothesis for which there is no reliable evidence. There is, on the other hand, considerable evidence that consciousness is a result of brain function.

There is no death, only a change of consciousness. Yes, our physical bodies die and return to the earth from where they came but our soul is everlasting.
At night when we sleep, we are in affect in a dead state, that is our consciousness has expanded beyond our physical realm.
Here is an analogy, go outside in the daytime and look up, other than the sun you do not see any other stars or planets. Go outside at night time and the Universe is there.
In actuality the Universe is always there though we are not always aware of it. This is like the change in consciousness we experience when we sleep and when our bodies die, we are now aware of what is always there.

Life and death are limited concepts. One seems to have affect on the other. The trick with consciousness is it also has an opposite in concept, unconsciousness. The question is who or what is aware of the conscious and unconscious? Cosmo is denying the fact that he could not speak of unconsciousness unless there were some kind of awareness of it!!!

There are many that say they've lived in another place and another time. They've investigagted that time and place and realized they were right. They could actually name their wives and childrens names in that life time. We are souls that evolve each life time, why? Because we are a part of God, we have a part of Gods power and light. What is God, an old man sitting in a chair, how about the universe and it growing infinatly, and when we reach the highest power of God's light we can become a star or universe.

In Revelation it talks of a place called the sea of life. This is most likely a place were souls wait in a state of slumber for the Resurrection. The soul is the fruit desired by God this is us. It begins to grow at birth and is ripe when we die.

let me give you the islamic perspective on this interesting issue of consciousness of life and life after death. soul inside our bodies is the LIFE in it. when a person is about to die, angels assigned with the task of collecting the soul of the dead actually come to remove soul from the body. when we sleep at night, ALLAH removes our soul and it goes to various palces, sometimes to the house of our relatives, friends, any other place of choice and the sincerely-GOD-loving ones go to higher skies. then when ALLAH returns our soul, we are able to wake up in the morning. that is why we see some people dying in their sleep, their souls are not returned back. after death for those who were obedient to ALLAH are kept in good places, at times even in heaven but those who were disobedient are in constant suffering so much so that on important occassions, they are not even sent down to visit their family and home like in case of good souls. this period after death is a waiting stage till that day comes when man will be accounting for each and every deed he did here.

the reality is there is no life after death, if you believe in existence of life... actually there is only one difference between living and non lining things... living things know that they have to absorb or get energy to keep themselves active / alive.. otherwise there is no difference between living and non living things...
and body may be unicellular or multicellular is only a strucure which collects energy to keep active that structure...
when this strucure fails to do this or collapse because of it or onether resons, we call it as death...
how anything 'life' will remain after death?
think again....

I would rather say it's the other way around. It's ridiculous that we're unconscious from birth to death and yet somehow conscious after we die. Miraculous!!!
