We installed a new Convection Wall Oven several months back and I do find that it does cook faster. Usually, by about 10-15 minutes, depending on the item. Yes it does the fan thing, and circulating the hot air makes a big difference and more evenly. Cookies are more evenly cooked, and I do like that.

Mine doesn't necessarily cook faster, just at a more efficient lower temperature because of the circulating air action. I have barely used the stove oven since having the Sharp convection model.

No. It is much better at baking things. You also cook at a lower temperature than a conventional oven because of the air blowing around.

Yes it cooks a little faster and you need to lower the temp. a bit too.
