Well... that famous behavioral scientist, M. Adjineri, has a theory that selection (before Darwin) didn't have anything to do with the environment... it was a system of formalized duels. The winner got to procreate.. the loser got to become a fossil. Of course, that all changed when Darwin invented 'natural selection'... and I don't see how plants could have participated in formalized duels... so there must be some other theory to account for that.

'How did species adapt to their changing environments before Darwin invented Natural Selection?'
Well, before Darwin 'invented' Natural Selection.....
Species adapted by an evil deity, who supposedly actually 'created' them all, even the bacteria and germs!!
Things were going on fine, the deity was very happy being in control of absolutely 'everything', very much like a dictator!!
Then mankind was formed, who became the mental slaves of the deity!
Much later, after being very deluded in intellect for far too long, they decided to wise up and form a revolution to get rid of this evil dictator!!
They had 'every' right to try to do so, as they had read all the bad things, that this deity had done to them in the past, in a book that was also full of lies and deceit about absolutely 'everything'!
The leader of this revolution was named Charles Darwin, who was a very wise man, yet some called him a devil!??
With Darwin as leader, the revolution was very successful and the deity is now gone forever!
How did this happen?
How did the revolutionists win, over this massive deity?
Bombs? ..... Weapons? .... Bullets? .... Poisonous Gas?
NO!!!
It was won over by two of the most 'powerful' things that ever existed!
Reason and Common Sense!!!!
The deity is now only 'alive' in the thoughts of 'very' deluded people, who actually want the deity back in control, they even still show their needed prejudices to their fellow man and even make wars in the name of 'him'!!
So now, we must all say that our freedom, to believe what 'we want' to believe, is mainly due or was anormalously helped by, the courageous efforts and brilliant mind, of one man!
Charles Darwin ........
We Thank You, for helping to give us our freedom from allowing ourselves, to believe in a deity and for helping to give us a mind of our own!!
Now we can move forward with confidence and understanding about the World, Universe and our part in it!!!

"Invent it"? He didn't invent anything. He observed the adaptation of various species and documented it. What rock are you living under?

He didn't "invent" it he discovered it. Just like Benjamin Franklin discovered electricity. It was already there, no one noticed it until he did.

It may interest you to know also...it is easily determined that 99.99% of all mutatons are NOT beneficial to a species.....but are always harmful and detrimental to the development...a serious flaw in the assumed mechanism of evolution theory.
The assumption that mutations takes place too SLOW to observe is equally defective to anyone with even half a brain. Evoltuionist often hide behind this fallacy because they are unable to come up with any evidence since it certainly is not in the fossil record.
Evolutionist are always looking for a way to convince themselves of foolish things in spite of evidence to the contrary.
They invent all sorts of things as they go along.....everytime something doesn't work out right they invent another theory to keep it current with the latest discovers which keep invalidating their last assumption....it is really laughable
And sadly, convincing themselves is not enough for them. They have to further perpetuate their deceptions by spreading around to our nations youth. Beware of the radical evolutionists....they will tell you anything to keep you from believing in a Creator.

Fact is, they didn't, thus Darwin's invention, which was/is a "results driven" fairy tale.
