i wnt to reel in that 40 pound carp but need the right bait to do it

Have you ever tried dough balls? use wheaties cereal and strawberry soda,it will work ,not joking

Corn,night crawlers,and this sounds stupid but my aunt took my brother and i fishing,shoot,25yrs ago and the only thing she had for tackel was candy,(liqourish) you know that twisted long strip,well it was red original liqoureish and i swear she must of cought atleast 2 carp and several cats,something about the red or sugar i don't know.I suggest corn or worms though.

dog and cat meat work well for carp but its best for margin fishing its a bit soft for casting lidle do a good tin of big chunks in a green tin sorry don't know the name a friend of mine has been using it for years and pulls out 20lb+fish regularly.hope this helps

Yup, used pillsbury biscuit dough many times. Hadn't heard using soda though. Have used canned corn too.

I agree with "wanna know". My son caught a lake record with big red and wheaties (cheap kind) mixed together and rolled into a ball and placed on a treble hook. Works wonders!

bread dough or just plain flour and water works well. canned corn also does well. carp are scavengers so they will eat just about anything.

Whole kernel canned corn. Creamed corn just runs off the hook.
