Why not just divide your triangle into 4 -either diagonally of horizontally/vertically - and do a mini version of each in each section. Probably the diagonall would be more eyecatching.

Actually the Union Flag, its only a jack if flown at sea, is a composite of Ireland, England and Scotland, Wales is not represented. Even the Irish St. Patrick's flag was created just to incorporate it into the existing Union flag of England and Scotland.
How about the Irish tricolour, with the Welsh Dragon on the Green, the St. Andrews Cross in the Orange and the St. George Flag in the centre white.

The Union Jack already contains the cross of St. Andrew, Cross of St. John, and cross of St. Patrick in it. This was done to signfy either the dominion of England over it's neighbors or the willingness of the british Isles to work together (depending on who you ask and their opinion). You could add a welsh dragon and have the complete set.
For a class assignment the following symbols have at one time or the other been used on the countries national flags:
Wales: A red dragon rampant
Scotland: A red lion rampant
Ireland: A golden harp
England: A red cross (A red dragon was also used briefly as well as a yellow lion strechted horiztionally)
Isle of Mann: The 3 legs arranged in a celtic trisklion, currently recognized as their national flag despite technical british ownership.

You have just described the Union Jack - it is the flag we usually ascribe to Britain and is composed of the flags of Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales. Just Google in images for the Union Jack or 'Flag of Britain" and you will see what you want.
