The Invasion and occupation of a non-hostile country is ANTI-AMERICAN....No 9/11 involvement, specious terrorist contact at best and certainly not on the level of others we ignore or monitor....In short the only justification for Iraqi "war" was PROFIT...
If you are a soldier in Iraq YOU ARE A CRIMINAL and must for your own sake DESERT or face prosecution along with the rest of the anti-american neo-cons as "we were just following orders" was proven to be an ineffective defense at Nurnberg

if we are to talk about misinformed let us examine the first Iraqi "war" bush the first suckered hussein into letting him invade as Iraq could get no satisfaction from world community re Kuwaiti diagonal drilling(what would you do if canada started diagonal drilling into alaska?)
Hussein went to his boss from CIA days (Bush) and said hey what do I do about these thieving Kuwaitis...Bush said that is your business...The Kuwaitis were not innocent victims and Bush the first son of the Traitor Prescott was the true instigator of the first Iraqi War for Profit. It was a masterful piece of skullduggery on the part of Cheney et al
so no IRAQ has NEVER been hostile to US they have been or LAPDOG since we Saddam in POWER
your Fox news propaganda brainwashing is showing

The ignorance here as to the facts is astounding a credit to the Murdoch war propaganda machine. He has done a masterful job of taking over where Hearst left off.
We turned Iraq into our own personal killing field and invited terrorists in with the insane braggadacio of "Bring em on"
More people have died as the result of our illegal invasion and occupation then died under Hussein. That is a fact. unless you watch fox and believe their doctored numbers
If you join or go to Iraq you will be held accountable for the war crimes you will face. Your decision to not report makes you as culpable as the one who pulled the trigger
A recent study showed the lack of willingness to report war crimes was endemic to the MAJORITY of our soldiers. This is a crime itself

If any other leader of a country did the things that GWB is doing, the US would try to have their heads. It's amazing to me that the US thinks that they can get away with anything and then try to make the other country look like the bad people. What did we do to Osama bin laden to make him bomb this country. Go back15 years and we started the whole thing with him, but yet, we get mad when he tries to get even. I don't see any Iraqis in our country blowing up our houses. This country is a joke, and any of you freaks out there that cannot see that we have this "bully" mentality going on, you all need to wake up. Here is what is going to happen one day; some country (Korea?) is going to get fed up with us and come and give us our come uppance!! Just a reality check people. we're not as tough as we think we are. 9/11 was proof. Think about it.

Thank you for posting your deluded opinion thinly disguised as a question.

I believe encouraging military personnel to desert is a criminal offense so don't be surprised when you hear a knock on the door.

There is no criminal process in place to try the USA for your imaginary war crimes, so your Nurnberg Defense plea scenario just went out the window.

EDIT: The following NICE comments were IM to me by the poster of the original RANT / Question:

Hello conranger1 (conranger1),

Worse than Saddam eh? You haven't spoken to any Iraqis who lived under his rule have you? Building schools that have better roofs than sticks must certainly be a crime, re-paving roads which have been left to rot in favor of building palaces on the backs of the people is certainly a crime. Preventing religious homicidal maniacs form killing their countrymen (and women) is a crime as well.
Wake up, stop listening in to whiny fanatical hippie crap. What you are saying is not liberal, what you are saying is completely wrong. Finally, if soldiers desert in Iraq, where would they go? You can't just hop a flight back home, you'd be stuck in the desert where you could be found by friendly people or terrorists who would kill you. Lets use a little common sense. Or in your case, just sense.

The sectarian strife has gotten so undesirable that they are actually worse off than formerly. greater are dying, swifter, than in Saddam's purges. i assume people like Iraqis want an iron fist to maintain them in line. that's what Saddam did.

You speak of ignorance in your rant. It is your own You are the anti- american you accuse everyone else of being. And as far as calling soldiers criminals, I would sooner address this one face to face but if you read between the lines of your horsesh@#, you are obviously a coward. My son is a soldier and and not a criminal and you could use some sence beat into you.

So by invoking Nuremberg, are you saying we are no better than Nazi's? Call me a criminal? Your an a$$hole. I have seen what real criminals do to innocent people. You weep for the "freedom-fighters" and curse the military. You have no clue what goes on in the real world. It is brutal, ugly, violent, and people get hurt. Innocent people, woman and children. Maybe you should just say thank you to those willing to serve and stick to things you know like pop art and over-priced coffee shops. You make me sick.

I suppose the invasion of Iraq wasn't justified, but I hardly consider it an atrocity if a soldier sleeps in a bunk, stands guard at a roadblock or shares a joke with the locals, whether or not he's part of an occupation force.

Care for some cheese with that whine, get a life and an education maybe it will help you better understand world affairs. You spout a lot of liberal talking points, all of which are pure drival with absolutely no substantiation. As to criminals, take a look in the closest mirror.

When questions like this arise we shouln't even take the time to post an answer, but as a retired military and one who has friends still on active duty, how dare you compare are military personnel to Nazi leaders. I am sorry for your sake but if you do not like this country, please leave.

NON HOSTILE!? Where the heck have you been?

We were at war with Iraq (Saddam) since the first war. We only had a cease fire agreement with him. He did not keep with the provisions outlined in the agreement. Therefore he suffered the consequences for his actions.

You are one misinformed individual. I feel very sorry for you.
