There is really not a minimum size. It needs to have two things to be considered habitable. It must have electrical installed per code and it must have a hvac register. Just remember to be considered to bedroom it must have a closet. Hope this helps.

Check with local authority. There may be no restrictions.
But to be a bed room it must meet certain requirements for safety and use age. Again you have to check the local ordinances. If in the city, start at city hall. Same for other authority.

It used to be 48sq ft IE 6ft x 8ft. but that was some years ago. No doubt in today's world if it has a door and a window it would be classed as habitable, that's progress.

Our third bedroom at our old house was 6ft by 6ft 3in. We had a junior bed and chest and cabinet in it. It was still classified as a bedroom.

i don't believe there is a minimum size ..but a habitable must have its own light and ventilation ..in other words a window that opens

9ftx6ft is deemed sufficent by the goverment but my window had bars on, not enough room to escape in a fire i am sorry to say.

i dont know about the sizeof the room itself, but i do know that it has to have a window large enough to use as an escape from fire.
