You can have the fastest download speed on the planet and it still take days/hrs. It all depends on the people seeding it to you. If the are on slow internet you wll only get it as fast as they can send it. You might be able to catch 1000 balls a second but the person throwing it to you can only throw 100 balls a second then it will slow you down. I have downloaded 10-15GB whole movies in 30min and some in 4hrs it all depends on alot of factors. I have Cable modem @ 12-15mps which is 10-15times faster than DSL and it still takes sometime to get anything. Songs are usually 3-5sec. But full movies or bigger take a while...Thanks

Immaterial (for the most part) what program you use - the question is how good is your connection. A dial-up will be slower than a baseline DSL will be slower than basic cable will be slower than high speed DSL etc etc.

It depends on the available bandwidth you have for downloading AND the available bandwidth seeders and other downloaders of the file(s) are providing (which is shared between everyone downloading).

Expect anything from zero bits per second to as much as your connection can handle.

It depends on how fast your connection is. You can test your connection and see how fast it is on Speedtest.net. And if you see that your port isn't open, then you have to forward that port. Here's a tutorial if you're up to it.
