Well, if she makes your dad happy, then it's a good sign that she must be a nice person. Or at least she can be.
If she tries to get to know you; spend time with you, and keeps trying even when you give her the cold shoulder, then, she's definitely a very good person.
And if she never tries to create troubles between your mum and dad, then, she's great.
They do have a hard time as well, you know?
I am not a step mother, but I knew the woman who is my children step mother.
My children love her. Honestly. And I don't have a problem with that, because, I guess she is all of the above.
So, you need to get to know her.
Take time to see if she's a nice person or not.
She's also human, so, she's bound to make mistakes.
Maybe, you can point out those mistakes to her and she will try and not make them in the future.
You don't have to hate your step mother to make your mum happy. What makes your mum happy, is to know that YOU are happy.

I'm a step mom of two and I just try to be a friend to them while still trying to keep the respect of an authority figure. It's much harder to be the step parent than it is to be the step child. I have my own daughter so I understand her side and my husband who is her step dad. You kids don't have it that bad unless she is truly miss treating you like and in that case you need to talk to your father.

the bible tells us that remarriage is adultery. simple as that.
you should understand that . you need to attempt to be polite toward this woman . dont blame the woman for the breakup of your parents. instead hopefully you can work this so that she is not so much acting as a parent toward you as she is more an equal in the home.

im a step mom , it depends on how she acts toward you , need more info. like when did she meet your dad, how long have they been married , do you live with them, does your mom like her, does your mom talk trash about her. i know that i try my best with my sd and she hates me so maybe we can help each other.
