Sometimes we pontificate and 'relax' thinking that certainly we do good things for others and we'll gladly tell others how to get to God and Heaven , but how often do we also remind others that we are sinners too ?

Those without faith see those posts and get the impression that we think we are without sin . Some of those very same people see us as hypocrites and give-up on their search for God . And others see the self-righteousness as unattainable for themselves and give-up . That's not good .

Go ahead and answer as you wish , but I'd like to ask every God-fearing and loving Christian to add the fact that they themselves are sinners too when they answer questions on this site .

A little humility could go a long way .

What prompted this question ? -- My own self reminder that I am a sinner and fall short of grace . . . .but for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ !

If I were God which I am not and had to face me then no I would not enter.
I have not done any thing so bad but I am hard on the facts and God is grace and has said I would enter so I pray he can forgive me more than I can. SO one day I will know the truth on this as each of us will for our deeds.

As Heaven is God's home, He has the right to tell us what the qualifications are for entry.

He said we are all sinners and He is not. Romans 3:23

He said He cannot abide sin or sinners in His home. Romans 6:23

The best part: He said He made a way for us to enter His home and He made it very easy! Romans 5:8 and 10:9-13

If we do not get in by the Door, we don't get in. John 10:1

this is not any longer a variety of kindergarden instructor relationships the place you do what God needs and he supplies a cookie, and in case you do no longer he sends you to outing. in this existence, God places human beings the place they gets close to to Him. some human beings seem to God whilst they awaken of their vomit in a gutter. Others turn to God whilst they have the full international and notice existence remains empty. What concerns to God is forming a relationship. probably Greg is in a greater perfect place from this viewpoint than Jennifer is. Greg has human beings on the venture encouraging him in his Christian walk, jointly as Jennifer is probable surrounded via people who think of they do exactly advantageous with out God. In heaven, God will supply for our each want, and supply us an enviroment that constantly amazes and pleases us. even with previous situations. so which you would be as potentally happy with the aid of fact the Apostle Paul. additionally to respond to yet another false impression on your question. this is not any longer suitable in case you suspect. you are able to desire to settle for. If i'm drownding in a lake, i could have self belief that the existence ring you throw me will save me up, yet whilst i don't get my hands in it, this is not any longer suitable. you will nicely be a believer in God, yet once you're no longer construction a relationship this is not any longer suitable. James tells us the devils have self belief. So Jennifer going to her rock concert activities is not greater per the middle of God than Greg hopped up on crack. curiously, they the two have a matching neurology

You've made some good points, Ernest. :)

One minor note before I begin my own answer: Heaven is not the ultimate hope for the believer. Revelation makes it clear that the current Heaven and the current Earth will pass away, and that a new Heaven and a new Earth will take their place. It is on this new Earth that we will dwell, though we will be able to travel between this new Earth and the new Heaven, which is also called New Jerusalem.

Now... I most certainly realize that I am not worthy to enter Heaven. "For ALL have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God." God's standard is perfection, and none of us- NOT A SINGLE HUMAN BEING- meet that standard.

For those of you who rely on your good works to get into Heaven after you die, let me ask you this... You don't have to answer here, but answer honestly in your mind and heart.

Have you ever stollen? It could be something as small as a piece of gum, perhaps.

Have you ever lied? Even a little white lie? I'm fairly sure we can all (myself included) answer yes to this one.

Have you ever looked at another person with lust in your heart? Jesus Christ said that, "Any man who looks on a woman to lust after her has already commited adultry in his heart."

If you answered yes to these questions, then consider yourself denied eternal life. You've just admitted that you are a lying thief, and an adulterer at heart.

Jesus also stated that whoever breaks ONE commandment has broken them ALL... If you are relying on your own merits, then you are in for a sore and severe dissapointment.

There is but ONE perfect man who has ever lived on the face of this planet, and it is this ONE man who paid the penalty for our sins. His name is Jesus Christ, God the Son.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." -John 3:16

Jesus Christ came to this world, born miraculously of a virgin girl of no more than sixteen years (the age was normal for this time period). He lived a sinless, perfect life (although he was tempted with food, with fame, and with power by the devil himself). He was betrayed, and condemned to die on the cross, a roman torture rack. He was whipped, beaten to the point of being barely recognizable with a "cat-of-nine-tails", a roman whip consisting of nine leather cords into which were weaved sharp shards of bone and rock... enough to literally tear the flesh and muscle from the victim.

Finally nailed to the cross, he suffered, bled, and he died. As he hung there, God the Father turned His face from the Son, because in that moment, Jesus took on Himself the sins, the wrongdoings of every human who had ever lived, who was living, and who had yet to live. He BECAME sin, and paid the penalty. In so doing, He satisfied the justice, the wrath, the holiness of Almighty God. He died that day. A Roman soldier pierced his side with a spear to see whether he was dead, and when he did, the Bible says that both blood and water ran from the wound... No weapon had killed Jesus... He had died of a broken heart.

But he did not stay dead! He was buried, and He rose again from the dead of his own power three days later.

He did all of this for YOU! He did all of this for ME, lying, thieving adulterer that I am! All you have to do is BELIEVE! All you have to do is ACCEPT that gift! That's ALL it takes to be assured of Salvation!

Being a Christian isn't like joining a club. There's no mempership fee. There's no way you can lose Salvation once you have it, and it's NOT based on your works! It is based on the Mercy and the Love of God, based on HIS grace alone that you can be saved!

I truly hope that you will accept Him as your Lord and Savior... There is really no reason not to.

Without Grace and forgiveness we will not inter the gates of heaven. Only God is perfect and without his grace and Mercy we will not be able to inter.
