In a way. But rear. Real long term problems only.
It is a single most known reason for weight loss. Stomach up set due to worry can give ulcers and bleeding, that can make a person anaemic and even kill a person.
I do not recommend stop worrying, but one must do some thing about it by removing the cause. Worrying can actually save life by making a person cautious about the surrounding.
Example:
1. Exam worries, study hard and harder, take help, know the subject well. Then there is nothing to worry about.
2. Missing a flight, train bus, ferry. Pull yourself together and allow enough time be there early.
Read by article on this subject the titles is "Fear" but most of it is applicable.

Fear is a good thing.
It is there to protect you.
It takes determination and some help to overcome the fear.
eg Fear of darkness, height, travel....all this are very good fear to have but it must not over power ones life. It should make you alert to the situation.
Darkness, if it makes you alert the chances of tripping and falling are less.
Height, if you have this fear you will be careful and stay clear of the dangerous situation and avoid falling of a cliff.
Travel, if you are alert because of this fear it will make your journey safer.
The trick is to face the fear and turn it in to an added advantage to you by being cautious.

this is very possible - i know that it is alot like when my uncle used to get sick at xmas from all the joy!
its where you work yourself up so much that both your mental and physical protection weakens and you dont do things in the way you normally would - either allow yourself to catch a cold or the flu or by being phsyically sick!

Yes, the more you keep inside and allow your anxiety levels to rise, it affects you physically, and in many forms, and even all at once. It battles your immune system and all sort of things start to go wrong. You have to deal with your problems and eliminate anxiety or else it will eat away at you until you are very ill.

sure you can, there is an elderly lady who regularly shows me how it works.
you start off in good condition, you tell yourself you have do get nerved, unhappy and fealing yourself bad, if you try very hard to be unhappy, uncontent and really ill, you may succeed to sufficate yourself till you need to call the emergency people to rescue your life, I could see such development with that strange neighbourer lady several times, whenever she convinces herself that she has to be afraid she works herself up till she is near falling down, always in the end she is very very sick, and one can only pitty her for being so ill making herself sick one time after the other,
that is why I know it really works, if a person tells herself she has to worry and you cannot help to stop her, she will even worry herself to death, one day, I am afraid.

Yes, it's called a psychosomatic illness which is any illness caused by mental processes rather than actual virii/bacteria/mutated cells. If you want to find out more about it, you could try the American Psychosomatic Society at www.psychosomatic.org/

Not sure exactly the way you mean it, but I will tell you WORRY will flat make you physically ill. It will drain you down, hurt your immune system, and set you up to be hit by a variety of bad things, from infections to ulcers to heart attacks and strokes.

Absolutely. I am a big believer in the fact that your state of mind is closely related to the state of your physical health.

Yes. Worry kills. What has ever changed or improved because of worrying about it?
