We did this massive house cleaning project this weekend, only we didn't get it finished last night. There are things left to do , but it Sunday and we shouldn't be working right?. Its it OK to clean up on Sunday or should we wallow in it until Monday?

The reason you ask this question is that you know it's ok, but you are up against the letter of the law. When Jesus and his buddies were out in the field husking corn on Saturday, they were scoffed at for working on the Sabbath. Jesus replied. "Man was not made for the Sabbath, but Sabbath for man." The Sabbath is just available for you to connect with your Diety and your religious counterparts. Would that be difficult when all you can think about is your messy home? .

Remember the Sabbath Day and keep it Holy....
Sunday is the first day of the week...it is not an old testament thing or a jewish thing...it is the 4th commandment...
Friday is the day of prepreation when all work should be completed so the Sabath day can be a day of rest and worship..sunday is the first day of the work week....

CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN!! You actually shouldn't have been working yesterday. If there is something that needs to get done today, do it and praise God for the opportunity to get it done. I might suggest some good Christian music or a bit of quiet time with the Lord before you start though so you will be in contact and have his blessing. I'm sure he'll understand! GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS!!

I look at it this way. We are not to do any unnecessary work and so I sometimes find that actually doing the work that will be a headache later if I don't do it, is relaxing for me because then I know everything will be good later and because of the relaxing nature of the work for me---it is acceptable. If the work is not necessary then don't do it though. Some people find yard work relaxing and so that is alright too. If it will relax you and it should be done---go ahead with a smile on your face. Remember---the Truth will set you free!

sometimes i find cleaning to be very theraputic. you might want to put on some great praise music or listen to a good sermon so you are still being with the Lord on His special day. There are times when i'm scrubbing my floors that i feel i get in my best conversations with my Lord!

The sabbath rule was an Old Testament physical example of a spiritual truth in the New Testament. We don't keep the sabbath anymore. Jesus is our sabbath rest from our works spiritually.
Feel free to clean today (Sunday), or tomorrow, whenever, and do all things to the glory of the Lord Jesus.

I'm a born again believer that has no problem with working on Sunday if necessary. God wanted us to have a day of rest, but there's no reason to be so legalistic about it - we get plenty of rest in this day and age. Would Jesus save one of His lost sheep on a Sunday? I think so. That would be hard work indeed, but He'd still do it.

Its OK to clean up on Sunday.
Why?
You refer to a law God gave the Israelites.
Are you Jewish?
Why subject yourself to the laws of another nation?
Besides, for the Jews, it was from sundownn Friday till sundown Saturday that they had their sabbath.
Sunday had nothing to do with it.
AND Jesus' death did away with those laws

I think your god would rather you live in a clean home than spend all day amongst the mess praising him.
