No food will make you fat unless you eat too much. All pie will have a high calorie count, at least if it is worth eating. Mincemeat depends a lot on what kind. Real old fasioned made with beef suet has a lot of fat therefore calories. Some commercial mincemeat it actually meatless and very low fat but not low calorie because of the sugar.
Have a piece for me, with whipped cream please.

One piece of pie won't make you fat. If you eat it all the time, that's a different story. But sometimes, if something is a favorite, you have to let go of the calorie counter and enjoy life a little.

Pie *is* considered a high fat food because of the crust. According to a list of holiday foods on about.com, mincemeat isn't as high in calories as apple or pecan pie, but pumpkin is half of what mincemeat is.
