The technological advances in medicine have already outlawed evolution. The weak no longer die off; they have opportunities to spread their jeans. Human evolution is a relic of the past.

i have a better question: why would evolution ever be outlawed? if it were for whatever reason outlawed i suppose, that since it is true and part of its definition makes it unending, people would keep evolving, all of them...

*shudder*
I read a book once, about a world where anything out of norms (tailless cat, strangely coloured cow or people) were eliminated because they were not in the list of 'right' things. The basis of that story was nuclear mutation but the description of the society is so close to your question that it made me shudder.

We don't evolve because we believe in it, we evolve because that is part of life.
