he is probably going through a stage. Its fun to take the diaper of f especially if it is velcro. If you are letting him run around with a diaper only. If you put pants on him it would be harder to get the diaper off. Don't yell at him for this, its probably just a stage. Potty training really doesn't begin until 3 3 1/2. Especially for boys. Don't force it, unless he/she is ready, but when he does pee, put him on the potty right away and see what happens.

you should definately start potty training. he doesnt seem to want to wear the diaper anymore so just get him some underwear or pullups. show him that when you pee or poop it goes in the potty. he will probably love trying to aim in the potty. try throwing some cereal in so he can try to hit it. also if he does go in his diaper, make sure you change him in the bathroom. that way he knows that thats where you do your business.

all me and my siblings were trained by 18 months. I trained my younger brothers.
Whether you want it to or not training as already started. Once he knows that his body has a function, and he can do something about it thats when you start training them that either their diaper is best, or the potty is, or they can do whatever they want.
No matter how to react to it, youre training them.

i was a child carer and that is the first sign that he might be ready, when training your son he has to have accidents to fully understand what is happening just introduce him to the potty and when he has accidents take him to it and tell him that's where he should do it, it will take a while but that's the best way to do it and avoid using pull ups.

That's when I always start training..With a boy, have him sitting down first, dont let him stand up and pee unless you want to clean it up all the time..They dont get the aim down until they are older...Even if he does not take to it right away, let him go when he wants to, or even throw him on there and see what he does..Get the idea in his head..That's how my daughter was sooo easy!

If he takes off the pamper while peeing that means he is not comfortable with peeing in it, it could be a good time to train him. it may be a little early, but its always worth the try.
