Religious or not... you do have to accept the truth when it begins with the letter "C."

I believe death is part of life. Whether you get Cancer or get hit by a car. I believe we are predestined to die a certain way. The people in our lives are all effected in some way. They all learn lessons from our life and death. Having been clinically dead twice in the same day, I can tell you death does not scare me anymore. It has made me aware that it is important to live my life to fullest while I am here. That everyone is here for a reason and leaves a life legacy when they die. It can be good or bad our choice.
I was sent back to finish something here on earth. No, have no clue what, but have started doing things i have never done before. So yes i am part of some grand plan, as we all are.

I have had cancer and a cold and measles and mumps and ....... Getting sick is just part of the 'human condition" I don't think G-d orchestrates all of the everyday happenings in our lives like stubbing our toe or having a accident .
I do believe that G-d cares very deeply about our attitude and our actions and reactions during the hard times .
Like a loving parent G-d was at my bedside.
My soul is ever in the care of a loving G-d and , I believe that one day this body will return to "dust" but my living soul will dwell with my Creator.
On day I will (and you too) will face --something-- terminal.
Even Jesus passed through death.

To accept not only as God's plan but as His Holy Will. And to show to God, that we're just not after physical pleasures but the life to come, eternal life! Meaning it is part of trying how faithful we are (including those kin and realtives) even unto any kind of circumstances that may come before us!
Php 4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
Php 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
1Th 5:16 Rejoice evermore. AMEN

I would go to the hospital and try to do whatever is possible to cure it. That includes praying for this to be taken away from me if that be the will of God.
However, presently, we are not in Paradise. It is not God's intention for anyone to live eternally now -- which means we must fall ill at some time or grow old with its accompanying illnesses --no avoiding it.
We do believe in the resurrection into Paradise though. Do you? Or are you happy with just living a few years and then die forever?

Look a life's hardships as opportunities and building blocks for growth. This is not always easy, especially when something like cancer comes into your life but there is always a reason these things are there. Through these experiences we can grow, learn to love and move closer back to God.
Think of simpler challenges that you have gone through that are rough but once passed them and you look back you realize that it helped you in some way, such as to be more compassionate, to be more humble, to realize you have a stronger faith, to open you up to the spirit, etc.

You're still seeing the world through an unbelievers prism.
That this earth in these physical bodies is the be-all, end-all to our entire sum of existence.
We believe this world is not our home, we are only passing through on our way to a much better place - where nobody ever gets cancer!
A world of no war, no famine, no disease; a world of no tears, no pain, no suffering; a place where bad things never happen to good people - and all things will be made right.
It's called HEAVEN, my erring brother. I hope to see you there one day....it will be great!!!

Yes, but the plan can be a test as to how much faith you have in God alone, and when you get through it and live you can tell other people about your miracle and what God has done in your life. That way you can let other people know that If you can make it others can too just have faith in God. God has the power to do whatever he wants, if he can heal a blind man he can cast cancer out of a human body just like that, its all about faith. I dont care what you consume, God is way bigger and more powerful than that.

There's no single answer for your question...and it's really hard to imagine how I'd react if ever that happens to me... Different kinds of people, even religious ones or not, would react in various ways...
In general, there are 5 stages in death and dying..most people go through this in this order...
1) denial
2) anger
3) bargaining
4) depression
5) acceptance
- other people would need some guidance some life coaches/psychiologists and psychiatrists in order for them to get to acceptance stage, and i guess there are some who doesn't reach acceptance stage

as a muslim.. we do accept that terminal cancer is part of god's plan but that doesn't mean we have to lie back and let it kill u. that's like suicide which is really frown upon in islam. god may have a plan for us but it's up to u to decide how u want it to turns out.
