If i have only one C: drive partitioned. I install wndows on my pc and then take a copy of everything under C: using copy-paste in another machine. Can I later bring back my pc to this orginal condition by deleting all files and and copying the files from my backup.

You will only be able to bring back the files you copy. if you want to back up everything like setting and files use the backup utility that comes with the computer. you can use a cd-rw and just make weekly backups of your setting and files. it will be easier that way cause most windows os come with a wizard.

I'm concerned that copy/paste doesn't get everything, you might be better off with a backup utility. And back up your registry to a file first!

Theoretically yes as long as the system hardware hasn't changed - example you upgraded the motherboard or upgraded harddrives (exception exact same model)

Note that you cant just copy and paste a system...you need some kind of backup software such as norton ghost or acronis

Unfortunately, it's not that simple to backup your entire computer.

You need to use a hard drive clone software (such as Symantec Ghost or had drive clone) to get all the files including the operating system.

You can not back up fully this way. Try a back up program or burn the files to a cd.
