I'm single man that live alone.. Think about it? Why should I help a small child? All it will do is bring me trouble, especially in todays society.. I'll be accused of something.. So piss off!

Hes right. -Gymnastics coach in Wisconsin now accused or 35 counts of fondling in large open gym with other teachers in plain veiw. He was never in closed rooms. Wife was only 45ft away. They now have cameras installed to protect the coaches not the kids!!

It is a shame that everyone is so suspicious and is far too quick to assume the worse especially when it comes to a man talking to a child."Piss off" may not have been the best reply. You could have just told a white lie and said that you didn't know how to fix her bike. A stranger saying piss off is pretty frightening!

Some times for the sake of human compassion you have to stop thinking about yourself and just care enough to react. You can dial a phone, call 911. You can stay your distance and simply tell her its ok, help is on the way.
Don't use the fear of being name a molester as an excuse. If you really wanted to help, you would have. Anyone who tells a child to PO, simply wants the opportunity to do just that. Please, do not reproduce.

I understand where you are coming from but you didn't have to be so crude. Maybe you could've quickly explained to this child why she should not have asked you for help and then told her to walk her bike home. But i'm sure you gave her a good scare so she won't talk to strangers anymore!

You were out in the open where you would've been seen by everyone in your neighborhood, so what were you afraid of? People probably would've thought that you were a nice man for helping the little girl out. You most likely scared the hell out of her, which is what you wanted, hope you're happy with yourself.
