He could have an abstruction is his intestines as they love to chew on things. I would be seeking a second opinion. If his got a sore tummy then obviously something is wrong. especially if he is not his normal self. Especially if he gets worse by the morning or there is no change. There could be many reasons why your boy is not well. I would definaltely seek a second opinion and I hope he gets better real soon.

The electrolyte water is for dehydration- VERY important.
You should use Pedialyte unflavored, get it in the baby food section of the grocery store.
You are going to have to give him some four or five times a day from a syringe- the vet has those and should give you one for free.
Also- did the vet not give you any medication?
You should probably have either recieved ALBON, or been told to go to the grocery store and get Imodium AD, administered with a syringe, 1 1/2 ml. 2 times a day.
The Kitten is young and needs more support than your vet has given you. If you go back to the same vet and see about
more care, be sure you are charged for a "Recheck" not a full fee office visit.
This sort of illness usually has you going to the vet's a few times, you should have a vet that works with you & is interested in solving your problem.
Tummy- resting is a good idea, and one of the most common reasons for troubled intestines is over-feeding.
Cats should have dry food & clean water available at all times, with canned food twice a day, more as a treat, and only about a tablespoon.
If he is having really loose poop then he needs the pedialyte right away. The Imodium AD is for diarrea too.
Hope that helps.

Your cat could have eatn something that made his stomach ill, like a moth or a spider, or he'd just got a bit of an upset stomach. Your vet probably wants to wait to see if nil by mouth works to clear up whatever it could be. Its the first thing they tell everyone with a vomiting cat (unless its vomiting blood).
Do as the Vet suggests, then 24 hours after the vet visit, BOIL (don't fry, roast or otherwise cook) Some chicken on the stove in a pan of plain tap water. Once cooked, cut it up and let it cool, and feed your cat this. It is mild and gentle on your cats sore stomach.
Your vet is doing THE RIGHT THING, so don't seek a 2nd opinion until you have got back to your vet with the progress of the cat after feeding it.

Give the Pedialyte (or something similar), and make sure Kitty can get warmer than usual (offer an extra blanket or towel).
Anytime you don't understand what the vet has told you, or feel you don't have enough information, ask more questions. The vet may have good reason for the advice she gave, but you need to know what the reason is. If your vet is not forthcoming, you may need a new vet.

I would get a second opionion from a different vet. I have had issues with a cat that had chronic diareha and nobody could figure out why... so I seen a different vet. Vets are like doctors... some have different experiences than others.

Offer him plain Gatorade diluted with water, keep him warm and see another vet ASAP! Afteryour cat has been taken care of call the better business bureau and file a complaint against the vet for being irresponsible - they could have at least referenced you to another vet with more experience.

See if he'll eat some grass. Cats use grass the same way we use syrup of epicace. It induces vomiting to soothe the sore tummy. Pick him some from the yard. Wash it and offer it to him in his bowl. Hope the little guy feels better soon. If he's not better soon, you might want a 2nd opinion from another vet. Tomorrow give him some plain chicken broth (make sure it doesn't contain garlic or onion).

keep its fluids up,its important so that it doesn't get dehydrated.it my be something as simple as constipation.it sounds like you are not happy with the vets advice and lack of information the vet has or should i say hasn't given you. through personal experience if your not happy with the first vets advice get a second opinion,it could save its life
