I have downloaded a movie, and its not playing.......
i tried using DivX player and it says "no video file"
i tried using VLC and the time bar moves but no picture and no sound?
i have also tryed hyplay and it sais "no codec found on system"
I can play all other files no problem.. i am stummped
please help me!

It's probably just a corrupt/invalid file. You downloaded a copy that's no good. If DivX claims it isn't a video file, that's a clue....

Where did you download it from -
Download the file again and try again - sometimes they just don't download properly

Try 'GSpot'.
Its a video utility that can detect if your system has the necessary codecs, and should be able to play the file if it has.

It could be a real media file.
you will need real media player to play those files.

If you can not solve your problem for long, you can try to convert it to other formats. you may try http://www.nidesoft.com to see whether you can solve it.
