I am trying to convert files from AVI and Windows Movie, to DVD format before burning them.
The converter I am using is fine, however it is converting them from 1 file (AVI/Movie) into 3 files (DVD).

Obviously I can't burn them to disk this way...

So do I shrink the original file before converting, or is there a program which will do everything, convert, shrink and burn?

Thanks

When you need to convert from another format to DVD, the best software to use is NERO Vision. Just select the files and the size of target disc (i.e. 4.7 GB) - that's it. It will do the rest for you. All shrinking, converting etc will be done.

I use the free to download programs, Any Video Converter (to convert to DVD format) and DVD Shrink to er shrink them if necessary and the same program to burn the files to a DVD.

A DVD requires those 3 files. You then use something like Nero to burn them to DVD. Just tell Nero whichfolder the filesare in and it'll do the rest. If the files are too big for a 4.7G DVD, you could use something like DVD Shrink to shrink and burn them.

Hope that helps!!

Use software like Nero Vision which will create the DVD files to fit in a 4.7GB disk.

Are the three files all video files? I have the feeling that one is the video file, VOB, another is the info file, IFO, and I'm not sure about the other, possible a backup info file, BUP.
