I dont want to be pessimistic as there is always hope, but i think you should book 4 months in advance. My uncle travals frequently between Alicante and London with Easy jet, never had a problemm and not usually paid more than £50. Try the other open air companies, if all else fails, tryto get a last minute cheapie - thats if its not essential to go at a specific time.

We've (wife and I) got a flight with Monarch late November thru to mid December. Another carrier to try is Jet2.com - however, I'd reckon that, with Christmas coming up, prices will, not unnaturally, go up. It also depends where you're flying from - we tend to fly from Manchester - another airport you could try for is Murcia, which is one of the over-spills for Alicante. Prices may be slightly cheaper to Murcia also - the downside to Murcia is that it is a smaller airport with fewer facilities - but it's worth a try - honest !

Ryanair have really cheap flights. I've just been looking at some going from liverpool to palma and it was less than £35 per person

dont know but alicante is the worst airport ever...dont go there! but you can if you really want...just be warned!
