all-ways take more bait than you think you need in a variety. be patient keep trying different depths you could be fishing on the bottom and not catching because the fish are feeding mid water. fish early and late are best not mid day you can catch more fish in 3 hours in the evening than sitting all day most of the time espesually in the summer.hope this helps

Funny question.
Best teqnique is to be patient. I have fished the same place, same bait, same tide, same takcle, same time of day, same weather, etc. and on some days caught many fish and other days catch none.
Go with a person who knows the area a few times and watch what they do and if they are catching a lot, then do what they do.
Have Fun!

You have to think like a fish. You need to become one with the fish brethren. You need to move like a fish. You need to swim around in the fishes skin for a few days to truelly recognize the plight of the fish mind....
Actually, it depends on what kind of fish we are talking about here. Just like animals on land, all species of fish are different and have different habits, habitats, and feeding behaviours. We need to narrow down your scope a bit here.
Of course, they do call me "fishguy" so I have a unfair advantage...
