Is it OK to say that 'atheists' are proof that the end of the world is here?
Is it OK to say that 'blacks' are proof that the end of a neighbourhood is imminent?
Is there any difference between religious hate speech and racial hate speech?

I'm not advocating the quelling of free speech. I want to know what constitutes hate speech and propaganda, and where religion can calim immunity.

*Where religion thinks it can claim immunity from the same standards we would expect from those who spew racial/ethnic/religious hate speech.

Same goes for religion's crusade against gays. But I'm supposed to be OK now with just being likened to criminals, rapist, adulterers, murderers etc. I should just be OK with that right? I mean, it's not like I get spat at, or threatening phone calls, or sexual harrassment, or godhatesfags marches

Detail girls. Read the first two sample statements in my question. Do either of them appear bigoted and hateful? I hear both of them all the time.

A comment becomes hate speech when it insists that their POV is the only "TRUTH" and anyone suggesting anything different - no mater how slightly - are evil, processed, labelled as an undesirable or any of a long list of belittling harassing, threatening behaviour.
So look at this list..
"Atheism" - proof of end times... Definitely intolerant, suggesting an alternative POV is so undesirable "Life as we know it" will end..
"Mix-races" & property values... Definately intolerant, suggesting so-called undesirables will threaten financial security.
Nope there's not that much difference really.

To contribute to negativity in any speech is to perpetuate the problem. Try saying something nice with a smile and watch the world around you brighten one smile or kind word at a time. Religion is simply a set way of believing. You are free to choose your own beliefs and will know when God approves though people may not.

Atheists are hardly proof of the end of the world. Black neighbors would mean nothing more than that some of my neighbors have darker skin than I do. Since most of the African Americans I personally know are Christians, I don't see what their race or mine has to do with our religion?
What exactly do you want to know? My religion welcomes all races. As a Christian, I am concerned with what one believes not with ones appearance. My neighbors include agnostics, Christians, and who knows what else, but we still all live on the same street.

First, I've never heard anyone say that. I'm trying to think of some doctrinal or scriptural reason for it and I can't. The Bible does say that false Christians and those "having a form of godliness but prove false to the power thereof" are a sign of that we are living in this world's last days. Does that constitute hate speech/propaganda? I don't think so. It is just one more thing in the pattern of things to look for as a composite sign that we are living in the last days.

Christianity is a FEAR based religion used to control the masses!!
Because fear is the most productive tool these mind control cults have to win over and keep followers.
Source(s):
Remember, "god" is nothing more than a nonsense word created by man to explain away all of the things we can't yet understand.
Religion is a disease of the mind, born of fear, which has done nothing but bring untold misery down upon the human race.
If you can't get someone to convert willingly through preaching, fear is the next best tool.
Christianity for instance is based on two principles:
1. If you believe, you will be rewarded with the prospect of an eternity in Heaven when you die.
2. If you don't believe, you will be rewarded with the prospect of an eternity in Hell when you die.
For Christians:
God is all-loving, all-wise and all-merciful, so long as you submit to becoming a slave - salivating and singing heaps of praises on him for all eternity.
Much like an Earthly dictator who rules his subjects under rule of tyranny - submit or suffer.
Two methods in which religion spreads
1)Violence
2)Child Indoctrination

In my opinion, religious speech crosses the line when it is used to take away rights. Such as using religion to justify not allowing gay people to marry while heterosexuals are given the special right to marry based on whom they sleep with.
Basically, I think religious speech crosses the line when it is used to justify something immoral. Homophobia, racism, bigotry, and violence against others would be examples.

Hate speech is only wrong when it's dangerous. Simply saying "I don't like Christians," or "I don't like black people," isn't so bad a thing. Everyone has their own preferences for people. It's when action is called against a specific group that it becomes dangerous. So it becomes "hate propaganda" the second people speak about getting rid of all the atheists, or Christians, or Black people.

I think I'd be willing to march to defend people's right to say both of those things even though I think they're both wrong, infantile and misguided.
Neither seems to advocate any violent action so I think I'd have to support them because of my views of personal liberty. Besides, I'm fairly sure that the problem with blacks in gangs and such in the US is cultural and not racial.

I have no words. I agree that all of religion is fear-based, and that is why I do not subscribe to one religion and I worship from my home. People twist around Bible quotes and distort their teachings in every manner possible to justify their hatred and intolerance.
Until we learn to recognize that we are all one race sharing one planet under one God...until we realize that we are all connected...this world is doomed.

We can not say that the atheist is the sign or proof that it's the end of this corrupted world, just listen to God and Lord Jesus Christ has to say about it and not just use our own judgment, for who are we to know? Mat 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Still not okay to say other people like the black or any people is the end of neighborhood, for who are we to do such? Do we have the title of the world or do we own the earth? Like immigration, to me i do not like how people thinks about other people, they always point fingers to illegal immigrants if their is crime that happen around that no one knows the truth! For the truth is listen to God; Mat 7:5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.
if someone is sincere in sharing the Gospel of Christ Jesus out of true love, then it's not a religious hate speech.
But if someone just want to show his/her religion is the only one that is true and be saved i thinl not only classified as religious hate speech but also boasting!
Racial hate speech is normal unto all of us being classified in the eyes of God as sinners no one does good! Ecc 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
But if you're a True Christian or Born Again in the Spirit, surely and truly not even of thinking about it is not your kind!
