make her feel a longing for the dog instead....
like talking about it every now and then...
plus saying the things that would've happen with or without the dog like...
"if we had that dog, we're gonna have lots of fun time... blah blah..." or "look at that poor little dog, i'm sure we can make it sooo happy..." kind of things..
if it dont work, just buy it, she can't do anything when it's there anyway

If it is the fur shedding that she is most concerned with on the white carpeting you can teach her about the types of dogs that don't shed: Bichon Frise (they look like a sturdy medium white poodle), Poodle, Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apso, etc.
I personally am allergic to animal dander and feathers, and my allergist told me I should never have any kind of animals with feathers or fur in my house, but I can get along very well with the above kinds of dogs because they don't shed hair, and the dander is attached to the hair.
House training can be accomplished with love and encouragement by keeping the dog in a room with tile or linoleum floors covered in newspapers or piddle pads on the floor until they ONLY use those spots, or ask to go outside. When they make a mistake, say loudly "No!", scoop them up, and put them immediately in the place you want them to use. When they go to the right place, tell them what a "Good Dog!" they are!
If your mom learns about the possibilities of shed free dogs, and you will keep the carpets cleaned for her; and if she already loves animals; she would probably approve of you adopting a rescued dog to save a life! Good luck!

house train a dog in 3 days my asss. Takes longer than that. If you go get the puppy, your mom will probably make you get rid of it and the puppy will have a hard start in life being re-homed twice before it is 3 months.
Rather than being a bad kid and doing something that is not very smart, why dont you show your mom that you can be responsible, do all your house and homework, GET A JOB and save up money so you can buy your own dog and pay for its food and vaccinations and spay/neutering and and yearly vet visits and emergency vet visits.....
PUPPIES ARE NOT FREE, NO MATTER WHAT THEY ARE ADVERTISED FOR IN THE PAPER.
**angie pangie- short haired dogs shed just as much as long haired ones. Their fur is just shorter. ever hugged a pug?

ok, first off, DO NOT get the dog withou her knowing. I garentee you she'll go right back to the place the dog came from and give it back, and if she cant, its off to the shelter or the pound. I recommend the havanese, because they need minimal exercise, they dont shed, and they are pretty small and low maintenance. Also, dont get the dog from a pet store, because there is a 99% chance it will come sick, and thats more trouble then its worth. Try a breeder that you can trust. Also, make sure that you are absolutely ready to do this, because it is a big thing to do. Try www.cornerstonekennels.com they are slightly expensive but they are helpful and you can trust them. Good Luck. =]

K9 Advantix for Dogs is a good medicine
Anyway ask your mum if you can pay for the dog or make a deal with her like you will help her on Sundays. Have you considered a short haired dog or maybe a bald one.
I love dogs myself Good luck and I hope u get ur dog

i doubt that u will get the dog since the carpet will be white lol.. unless u can keep it outside or your rooms big enough to be kept in the room.show ur mom ur responsible enough to take care of a dog..maybe by cleaning ur room more often, helping around the house w/out ur parents asking you to,and doing ur laundry.if that doesnt work just beg for it for your bday or better for christmas since its coming up..if u have to just tell them u will be happy w/ONLY one present as long as its the dog u want.they will have no choice but to feel bad and just give in lol
GOOD LUCK

An adult would be good.
NEVER EVER BUY from any petstore! they pets dogs, cats&other animals in there are from puppy mill or backyard breeders.
No pet is free, Don't forget the cost of food, vetinary care, bedding, harness, leads, harness, worming, flea treatment, litter boxes etc

An adult puppy or cat/kitten from a shelter would be good for you. Some adult dogs are already used to cats&other dogs, where as you have to start from scratch with a puppy
Why not get your mum&to go down to some shelter or pounds and let your choose from the adults dogs make great pets and alot calmer Make sure you pick 1 that suits your lifestyle.
there are many other breeds but don't buy on looks along or favorite breed alone, buy only one that suits your lifestyle.
Never EVER buy from a petstore!
Pets can have there paper forge!
kittens need 4 meals aday
Where as Adult only need 2

Honey, you can't housebreak a dog in 3 days. Their bladders are not fully developed and won't be for several months and they will continue to have accidents for up to a year. You need to find a better source for your information.
It's your moms house and she said NO. Listen to her.
If your mom does happen to let you have a dog, I look forward to hearing from you again about how come your puppy is not trained and keeps having accidents.
